SYSTEMS APPROACH TO

DECISION MAKING
SYSTEMS APPROACH TO DECISION
MAKING

 The systems approach broadly used in problem solving

in different context. business problems can also be
solved using this approach .they involve the following
steps
STEPS
 Defining the problem
 Developing alternative solution

 Selecting a solution

 Designing the solution

 Implementing the solution

 Reviewing the solution

DEFINING THE PROBLEM

 First the problem should be clearly understood.otherwise

it cann’t be solved.the problem is analysed with inherent
elements and interrelationships.
DEVELOPING ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION

 This stage requires Creativity and Innovation. The

analyst use creativity to come up with the solution.
SELECTING THE SOLUTION

 The solution which suit the requirement and objectives

in the most comprehensive manner is selected as the best
solution . This is done after evaluating &comparing the
possible solution.A lot of mathematical, technical and
financial models are used to select appropriate solution
DESIGNING THE SOLUTION

 Once the solution is selected it is then made in to design

document to give shape of actionable solution. At this
stage details of the solution are workedout to
blueprint.several design diagrams are
prepared&compared with specifications inthe solution
design
IMPLEMENTING THE SOLUTION

 Solution has been designed and implemented as per

specification laid down in the design document.care to
be taken to avoid deviation from design
REVIEWING THE SOLUTION

 At this point impact of the solution is studied. This stage

ensure the desired results haves been achieved
