ECE 442 Electronic Circuits
Homework 1 Due Friday January 25, 2008
1. Given the circuit shown:
(a) Find the effective resistance as seen by the capacitor terminals, R12. (b) Determine the Thévenin voltage as seen from node 1 to ground, VTh-1,0. (c) Determine the Thévenin voltage as seen from node 2 to ground, VTh-2,0.
2. Given the circuit shown:
(a) Find the Thévenin equivalent circuit as seen by RL. (b) Using the information of part (a), calculate vout. (c) Explain why vout is less than VTh.
3. Assume that α = 0.99 in the circuit
shown. (a) Calculate the voltage gain, A = vout/vin. (b) Calculate the input impedance, Rin. (c) Calculate the output impedance, Rout.
