Replacing Failed Hard Disk
1.lsvg -p rootvg
type this command to check which hard disk is missing
2.lspv –l hdiskx were x is the missing hard disk
type this command to see the number of lv’
3. migratepv -l (lv) (old pv) (new pv)
use this command to move all the lv’s
4.rmdev –dl hdiskx were x is the missing hard disk
type this command to remove the physical disk
5.Now do the following to let CE know that he is pulling out the right
physical disk
diag
press enter to continue
task selection
hot plug task
pci hot plug manager
replace and remove pci hot plug manager
then select that particular physical disk
the above process will flash the light on the physical disk after CE replacing
that physical disk
6.cfgmgr
to configure
7 extendvg vgname hdiskx were x is the number.
Type this command to add the physical disk in the volume group
