Solution (Orthographic Projection) 1

This document provides instructions for drawing orthographic projections of 5 different 3D objects. For each object, students are instructed to: 1) Draw the front view by projecting lines from the isometric view, 2) Transfer the front view projections to create the top view, 3) Transfer lines to the side view to complete it, and 4) Add dimensions to all views. Dimensions are provided for each 3D object to be drawn in multiple orthographic views.

ME 119: ENGINEERING DRAWING
1.ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION (SOLUTION)
PROBLEM 1:
Draw the front view, top view and a suitable side view of the object given below.
The arrow indicate the direction from which the front view should be observed.
STEP 1 First of all observe the
isometric object given to you.
Draw the projection lines
and complete the front view.

FRONT VIEW

STEP 2

Transfer those projection lines

x from front view to top view and Y
draw the top view.

TOP VIEW
Transfer the projection lines
from front view and top view to
the side view and complete the
STEP 3 right hand side view.
