To Reduce Heat by Useful Method
Some people inherently have more heat in their bodies while some are affected by it due to physical strain, consuming
foods with hot propensity, or due to medication. Body heat manifests itself in various forms like anger, disturbed
sleep, rashes and boils, acidity, heartburn, or stomach ulcers. It may also lead to headaches and sometimes dizziness
and episodes of fainting. There are more severe problems like changes in blood pressure, seizure, high body
temperature, and rapid heartbeats that also indicate increased body heat. So, it’s very important to keep one’s body
heat under control at all times. And one of the simplest ways of doing that is staying hydrated by drinking ample
amounts of water. You must also avoid wearing heavy and synthetic clothing. Cotton or linen clothes are best for
keeping body heat low. One must also avoid harsh sun to avoid body heat.
More than anything else, it’s the foods that you consume that determine how much heat you will have in your body.
You must avoid hot spices, oily and fried foods, cheese, vinegar, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. Salt also adds to body
heat, so a low sodium diet would be beneficial for you. Red meat also increases heat considerably. So, a vegetarian
diet would be a good idea; especially fruits and vegetables as they are high in fluids and keep the body cool. However,
avoid eating papaya, mustard and mango as they are hot. You can have more of melons, grapes, coconut,
pomegranate, oranges, plums, and pineapples would be very beneficial. Among oils, coconut, olive, and sunflower oils
are better options as compared to sesame, almond and corn oil. And, you must not eat food when it’s steaming hot; let
it cool down first.
There are many ways in which you can prevent and even reduce body heat. Drink a glass of milk with two teaspoons
of clarified butter added to it. However, if you have high cholesterol, you must avoid this remedy. Consuming half a
glass of chilled milk, without sugar, also cools the body down and especially helps if you have acidity. Herbal teas are
effective at reducing body heat. Have lukewarm chamomile tea, mint tea, coriander tea or fennel tea to get relief from
heat. You can also mix pomegranate juice with about three drops of almond oil and drink it every morning. Soaking
your feet in cold water, spraying cold water on yourself throughout the day will also bring the heat down.
