Peripetie
1. What does Sehr rasch mean? Answer: Very
quickly.
2. What Divisi mean? Answer: When you split the
notes between two people or more of the
same instrument.
3. What are these group of notes called? Answer:
Semi-quavers.
4. What is the difference between Pizz and Arco?
Answer: Pizz is when you pluck the strings on
a string instrument and arco is when you use a
bow.
5. What is the meaning for fff? Answer:
Fortississimo – This basically means play or
sing as loud possible.
6. What does etwas ruhiger mean? Answer: A
little more quietly.
7. What are these expression markings asking
the player to do?

repetition of a single tone or rapid alternation of
two tones, causing to sound like a tremble.
18. What does heftig mean? Answer: Violently.
19. What dies the marking crescendo mean?
Answer: Getting gradually louder.
20. What does tutti mean? All.
