Q2. How Business to Business (B2B) E-commerce is functioning in the development of the market? How B2B is Benefitting in the market development? ANS

Companies doing business with each other such as manufacturers selling to distributors and wholesalers selling to retailers. Pricing is based on quantity of order and is often negotiable. In the beginning, it did not receive the desired response, but in the years later it had grown exponentially and has now become a crucial part in every e commerce entity. Benfits:

How Media plays an important part in the development of E-commerce? Justify the role of Media convergence in E-Commerce with the help of an example. ANS: The social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest is shared with the e commerce websites to promote the product or services to reach more customers. SUCCESS BASED BUSINESS LOGICS 1 Recommendations: People tend to buy products based on recommendations. The social media provides the platform for the people to recommend the products. 2. Surveys: The social media can be used for reading the minds of the customers with the help of online surveys and polling. 3Brand Name: The social networking sites can be very helpful to build the brand of the product. 4 Identifying Competitors: The social media helps the business to identify their competitors

5 Promote offers: The offers like special discounts and concessional rates can be promoted in the social media which acts like a single vast medium that propagates the news quickly. Q4. a) How Traditional business environment is different from the E-business environment? (5) ANS: The main difference between traditional and e business is that the introduction of technology in e business E business is built entirely electronically on network so therefore without a network it is impossible to use e business LOW LEVEL OF TRUST: Unlike traditional business who can gain trust from its prospective customers through a straight, personal contact, the web eliminates the customers privileges to experience such personal contact with both the products and organization they want to buy the products from. GOOD ELECTRONIC MARKETING STRATEGY It doesnt have such power to force its audience to view or click on the ads [2]. An audience has the opportunity to create a list of product by using search engine tool (e.g. google) and click on the product that catches his attention.

b) Discuss the role of EDI in E-Commerce? What are standards used for EDI and why are they useful? (5) ANS: Quite frankly...without EDI, Webstores would not exist. The term "electronic data interchange" is often used interchangably with "electronic commerce" or "e-commerce." It's actually more accurate to say that electronic data interchange, or EDI, makes the e-commerce supply chain possible and I would argue is the driving force behind it. EDI provides a technical basis for commercial "conversations" between two entities, either internal or external. Note the perception that "EDI" constitutes the entire electronic data interchange paradigm, including the transmission,

message flow, document format, and software used to interpret the documents. EDI standards describe the rigorous format of electronic documents. EDI is very useful in supply chains. STANDARDS: The UN-recommended UN/EDIFACT is the only international standard and is predominant outside of North America.

The US standard ANSI ASC X12 (X12) is predominant in North America.

The TRADACOMS standard developed by the ANA (Article Numbering Association now known as GS1) is predominant in the UK retail industry.

The ODETTE standard used within the European automotive industry

When a consumer places an online order," an EDI chain reaction is triggered. c) Discuss the importance of Value Added Networks (VAN) in the functioning of EDI. (5) ANS: A Value-added Network (VAN) is a hosted service offering that acts as an intermediary between business partners sharing standards based or proprietary data via shared Business Processes. The offered service is referred to as "Value-added Network Service" VANS traditionally transmitted data formatted as Electronic Data Interchange but increasingly they also transmit data formatted as XML or in more specific "binary" formats. VANs usually service a given vertical or industry and provide "Value Added Network Services" ("VAN Services" or VANSs) such as data transformation between formats
