Application
The RadioRouter module is mounted in a MULTICAL energy meter and functions as a router unit in a radio network. In addition, the module functions as an ordinary radio module and can be read via hand-held terminal. The RadioRouter module can be installed in a MULTICAL without configuration and is ready for communication in less than 30 seconds after mouting. The reading system then determines which data should be read in the RadioRouter module. Data are transferred once/day from MULTICAL to the memory of the RadioRouter module. The RadioRouter module is equipped with two radio channels and detects automatically, whether communication is HI-power or LO-power. This provides good stability and high security when transferring data. The built-in router functionality provides you with the possibility of building up a radio network between the individual meters and the central RF Concentrator controlling the radio communications to and from the meters. The RadioRouter module is delivered with extra pulse inputs for water or electricity meters. Kamstrups radio system is extremely robust to interference.
