II. Professional Information:


1- Overall aim of the course:
teach postgraduate students all phases of crown & bridge including esthetic dentistry and implant prosthodontics. It provides a learning environment to train the future leaders in the discipline and specialty of crown and bridge for the new millennium. The program also provides care for patients that require comprehensive treatment in all of the advanced phases of crown and bridge. It also covers all phases of esthetic dentistry including treatment planning and functional occlusion concepts. The program also provides training in digital shade matching system.

The aim of the course is to

Diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment sequencing of complex crown and bridge restorations - fixed, dentures, implant dentistry. 2. Treatment of and rehabilitation of the prosthetic patients. 3. Full mouth rehabilitation. 4. Advanced clinical procedures including impression techniques, occlusal schemes and restoration of implants.

Describe the principle of design and the factors affecting the aesthetic performance in the manufacture of ceramic or porcelain bonded to metal crown restorations. 8. Categorize the principles of occlusion in the manufacture of ceramic or porcelain bonded to metal crown restorations. 9. Describe the techniques used to ensure the matching of patient tooth color.
