2013 Spring Training: 2-0, 7.20 - W#2 on 3/15 at LAA, allowing 2 R on 5 H and struck out 2 in 4.0 innings...allowed 2-out solo HR to Parrino in the 6th inning on 3/7 at OAK (3.0,3,1,1,0,2,HR)...allowed 2 R on 3 H in 2.0 IP on 3/2 vs. LAD...allowed a 2-out, 3-run HR to Hank Conger in ST debut on 2/25 vs. LAA (1.0,2,3,3,1,0,HR). Last appeared in the Majors in 2010 with the Detroit Tigers when he went 8-10 with a 5.53 ERA in 30 G/29 GS...underwent successful Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in April 2012. Pitched 8 seasons for the Tigers from 2003-2010...went 67-77 with a 4.89 ERA (639 ER, 1176.0 IP) in 207 career games (193 starts) for the Tigers, and recorded 7.11 strikeouts per 9.0 innings pitched (929 SO).
