Now in its 29th year, the FIERI Scholarship Fund, a project of the Westchester Italian Cultural Center, was established to enable students to pursue their educational goals. This year two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded: the Fieri Bronx/Westchester Scholarship, to a university student of Italian origin residing in, or attending a school located in the Bronx or Westchester AND the Fieri Pope Italian Language Scholarship, to a university student of Italian Language. Additionally, endowed high school scholarships have been established at Iona Preparatory School (New Rochelle), Pelham Memorial High School (Pelham), Saint Catherine Academy (Bronx) and The Ursuline School (New Rochelle) and Cardinal Spellman High School (Bronx). The Westchester Italian Cultural Center, located in Tuckahoe, New York, is dedicated to preserving, promoting and celebrating the rich heritage of classic and contemporary Italian culture by encouraging an appreciation of the Italian language, arts, history, cuisine, and commerce through educational programs, exhibits, and events. Established in 2011, the FIERI Young Professionals of the Westchester Italian Cultural Center is dedicated to bringing young professionals together in furtherance of these objectives. The FIERI Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity for former and current FIERI members to work together to further our shared commitment to educate the next generation of leaders.
