Welcome to the schools newsletter of the academic year of 20122013. This will be given to your child annually to keep you informed and up to date with the schools upcoming events, activities and other school related topics. I would like to stress on the importance of this newsletter so therefore you should put emphasis on your children to pass this on to you whenever received.

AL AHSA Al Reeyada International School (ARIS) held its Annual Graduation Day on March 14, 2013 in its ground. Twelve deserving graduates received their diplomas with pride. The graduation ceremony started with the procession of the school management, teachers and staff, and the graduates with their proud parents. ARIS gave tribute to their late founder, Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Mulhim. Mr. AlMulhim gave his best to build a community for the expatriates of Al-Ahsa and this is the ARIS. continue on page 2

Dear Parents, As we are approaching the end of the academic year, my staff and I hope that we have made a positive impact on your childs life, and we hope to continue our mission which is providing your children a brighter future.

ARIS gave deserving students medals and certificates for their achievements in IGCSE/A-Level Examinations. Ms. Mahroo Khalid and Ms. Mariam Hossam (at the left with Ms. Zubeeda and Mr. Zubair from British Council), received the recognition for their outstanding excellence in IGCSE/A-Level.
For her 14 years in ARIS, Ms. Elham Fawaz received a Plaque of Loyalty in recognition of her trust in ARIS for her future. After the individual recognition of the deserving students, each of the graduates gave a heartfelt speech for their parents, teachers and for the school. Each of the graduates have their enthusiastic story about their studies and life in school.
Graduation Day is a once in a lifetime experience of every student, that is why ARIS gave its best to prepare and give the graduating students an experience of a graduation that they will never forget.

Teachers Activity
February 14, 2013 Administration members attended AdvancED training in Riyadh. This training is for the school improvement. February 21, 2013 Teachers and students attended a training in Basic Life Support (BLS) in King Abdulaziz Hospital (National Guard) with the accordance of the American Heart Association. March 9-10 (for Math and Accounting) and March 26 (for English) Teachers attended training in English, Accounting and Math held by the British Council in Al Khobar, KSA.
Students Corner
March 20th Activity day where there will be a spelling bee, general knowledge, science quiz bee and the World Math Day.
March 21st Trip in Khobar. The students with the teachers went to Khobar for the Annual Field Trip. There is a saying that, Learning doesnt stop in four walls of the classroom, ARIS gives the students the opportunity to explore outside the school.
May 26th KG 2 Graduation Ceremony, please be informed that only mothers are invited to the event.

SUMMER COURSES
The summer courses (Saudi and non-Saudi) will be held on 15th June until 15th July. Summer Courses consist of ICT-Computer, English language, Kindergarten and Day Care for working parents.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
We would also like to mention that the new academic calendar is available on Al Reeyada website in which you can login using your childs username and password. Opening of the school on 14th September 2013.
The school board and its staff would like to congratulate the owner/CEO of ARIS, Mr. Saleh Al Mulhim, on his first born child named after his father the late Mohamed Saleh Al Mulhim.
Please remember to visit our website using your childs password for more information. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we still feel a year later about the loss of the founder of ARIS Mr. Mohamed Saleh Al Mulhim (may Allah have mercy on his soul). Words still cannot even express our sorrow; he will always be in our prayers.
