he importance of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in the Indian economy can not be under-stated. Today the PSEs account for over 22 percent of the countrys GDP, around 6 percent of the total employment in the organised sector and over 20 percent of direct and indirect tax collections.

The PSE Summit will provide a comprehensive outlook on highlighting the invaluable contributions that the PSEs are making to the Indian society in general and the Indian economy in particular The Summit will focus on the ICT implementations that PSEs are doing to bring efficiency and transparency in their operations The Summit will take cognisance of the steps that PSEs are taking to sustain the growth momentum by implementing best practices across people, process and technology The PSEs should use surplus for driving investment, growth and jobs.
