ANALYSIS MODULES SPR FIXES

Module A.04 A.04 A.04 A.04 A.06BS Description Unable to exit the Text Setup form with certain settings, except by using Esc. A spurious error message regarding section data assignments issued upon loading a file. Influence surface loadcase joint / member index corrupted in a model with multiple meshes. Problem importing a .DXF file. The problem arose for a file containing XRECORD objects. HB axle in negative influence region is ignored in the moving load analysis. Comments Problem resolved Problem resolved Problem resolved Problem resolved Although this complies with clause 4.5.3 of BD 37/01 and gives a conservative result it is not general practice, and the program has been changed to include all HB and FV axles. Problem resolved. Problem resolved. Both problems resolved Problem resolved. Problem resolved. Problem resolved. Problem resolved. Problem resolved Associated effect corrected.

Wrong finite element results for Wood Armer if applied twist (advanced property) is >=90degrees or <=-90degrees Unable to set spacing on curved mesh definition form and unable to assign supports at end support. Problem graphically selecting a longitudinal member. Internal error message issued during analysis. Unable to re-define the number of transverse members in a mesh. Corruption in mesh. Unable to analyse > than 350 loadcases if create folder permission not granted Unable to analyse with tendons defined if user numbering system used Certain initial displacements ignored by analysis by to tolerance limits Problem analysing a model following deletion of span end lines In the moving load analysis, for cases where truck load is critical and UDL is removed for the truck, the removal of the associated effect was incorrectly evaluated. KEL results unexpectedly different in two similar models. This was found to be caused by distribution to nodes being affected by numerical differences at 13th d.p. Copying a sub-model with member releases does not copy the member releases correctly. Problems in DXF import of model with duplicate joint Interpretation issue in load optimisation to BD 86. Details circulated to A.04 customers on 2nd Aug 05 Inconsistency in the use of torsion grid size between analysis modules, and imported section file values. Internal error message in data summary for a patch load configuration. Problem in a model with grillage deck and FE substructure

Algorithm adjusted to remove this effect.

Copying corrected. Duplicate nodes now removed on import. Interpretation modified to more conservative case. Separate torsion grid values now used for analysis, and section file data. Problem resolved Problem resolved

SECTION AND BEAM MODULES - SPR FIXES

Module B.01 Description In the shear & bending interaction equations (9.9.3.1) in stiffened panels, the program finds the first non-complying equation, and it would be useful to know the most critical. For unstressed reinforcement that does not run the full length of the beam span, the adjustment to the reinforcement length made if the beam span is changed is not correct. In the calculations for longitudinal shear, f3 is not applied for the shear stud calculations at ULS. Also the results plot for transverse reinforcement includes m but should include f3 No message is issued if a section is overreinforced (Article 5.7.3.3.1 of AASHTO LRFD 2 & article 8.16.3.1 of AASHTO Standard 17th edition). The value of Mub is calculated about the axis through the origin, not the centroid. Comments The output now includes the full calculations for all equations (a) to (d) Correct pro-rata length adjustment is now made Corrections made.
