If there is something common to most human beings, this must be what we call problems. There is no-one that does not have many problems. Are problems a natural and indispensable component of our present lifestyle? Nobody wants them and yet, like magnets we attract them to ours lives. Sometimes they make us feel important and special. Master Samael Aun Weor says that the solution of any problem lays in the problem itself Sometimes in the dazzled state, the mental struggle and the consequent emotional state in front of a problem, converts us into the problem itself, that is, we become the problem. As it has been referred to before, the human psychology is divided and multiple. It is our psychology that when confronting any obstacle in life, many possible solutions throng in our mind, each with its own feelings. Many of these feelings are contradictory,

thus creating a struggle within us. Precisely it is in this moment when we become the problem itself. To be able to resolve a problem, Master Samael says, it is necessary to have internal peace. From the mental silence comes the intelligent, intuitive and wise action that will resolve the problem, no matter how difficult it may be Then the factor of achieving interior peace is a fundamental priority in our lives, without mental peace, the interior conflicts are projected to the external world originating more conflicts, thus becoming what we call problems. Only with the regular practice of meditation and deep reflection about our contradictory desires will we find interior peace. We hope you will find a deep insight from this issue of the Gnostic Communique to aid in your attainment of inner peace

Gnosis
The word Gnosis is a Greek word meaning ultimate knowledge, obtained by direct inner experience. Gnosis is the perennial philosophy which enlightened Buddha, Hermes, Jesus, Pythagoras, Moses, Socrates, Mohammad, Orpheus, Quetzalcoatl, Krishna etc. While Gnosis has been expressed in many different forms in different civilisations, by means of different symbols and structures, nonetheless beyond this illusory veil of differences exists the Golden Thread which is Gnosis - the pure and universal expression of Love and Wisdom. Gnosis is the path of self realisation through experience. With the awakening of higher consciousness, we can obtain direct experience of our inner Truth.

Consciousness, return and reincarnation.

Lecture by Samael Aun Weor

y dear brothers: it would be good tonight to understand what Consciousness really is.

When we read all the different theories about evolution, it is possible to understand how artificial that dogma is. The human mind is already so deteriorated that it does not even see the destructive processes, the processes of involution, on a global scale. Let us observe the intellectuals: they mistakenly confer on the Law of Evolution, the destructive processes of involution. This is really absurd conferring on evolution, involuting processes, degenerative processes. In truth people are totally trapped by the dogma of evolution. What we need my dear brothers, is to separate ourselves from the mechanical laws of nature and from the laws of evolution and involution. Those laws are the mechanical axle of the machine that we call nature, but if we do not separate ourselves from those two mechanical laws, we will remain trapped by Samsara, inside the tragic wheel of life and death. We need to walk through the path for the Revolution of Consciousness, but this path does not go along with the laws of evolution and involution. The Path for the Revolution of Consciousness was already taught by the Divine Master: it is the narrow and difficult path that leads to the light and they are few who find it. Jesus did not talk about three paths, or five, seven or twelve as many think. Jesus has talked about a unique path: narrow and really difficult. The great Kabir Jesus did not

Many believe that through the Law of Evolution we can attain the Inner SelfRealisation of the Being and that of course is a mistake. We do not deny Law of Evolution. It is obvious that it exists, but it is absurd to attribute psychological aspects that this law does not have. Obviously after any ascension there comes the moment of descent; it would be absurd to think in an infinite ascension. If we ascend to the top of a mountain, it is obvious that we will have to descend. The laws of evolution and involution are similar, my dear brothers: There is evolution until some limit and then appears the processes of involution. Observe what happens in a plant. It is obvious that when the seed germinates, there is evolution. When the stem is growing, it is possible to see the impulsive evolutive forces of nature. This evolution exists in plants, for example in the vegetable when it starts to bear fruit, etc. Later the processes of involution appear and then we see how the leaves dry up to the point that this plant becomes a group of leaves (that is the force of involution). Observe, my dear brothers, what happens with the human being. It is obvious that inside a woman there are evolutive processes when she is pregnant. The baby, when born is in evolution. When we pass through the processes of childhood being a teenager and an adult, there are evolutive processes, but later comes the processes of involution. Then we see that the person, little by little, is becoming older like a plant, in a process of deterioration and finally he gets older and dies. This is the crude reality brothers. However to think that the laws of evolution and involution have other psychological aspects is absolutely absurd.

promise the kingdom to everyone. If we study carefully the four gospels, we can see that the master remarked how difficult it was to become part of the kingdom. It is said: Many are called but few are chosen; but when we talk about the chosen ones, we think its us. The Protestants, Catholics and everybody else think that, because of their membership in a religious group or sect, they are already selected. No, my dear brothers, we have to be more serious with our thoughts. In order to be selected, it is necessary to attain the Second Birth, the Second Birth that was described to Nicodemus by Jesus. Remember, my dear brothers, what is written in the Bible about the conversation of Nicodemus with Jesus: Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles. And Jesus answered: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Therefore, if we do not attain the Second Birth, it is not possible to become part of the kingdom. It is important to attain the Second Birth, and this is not possible through theories or intellectual beliefs. Nature speaks by itself. Let us see the plants, the creatures: birth is something perfectly natural, and the Second Birth is based on the same forces of nature. Many times we have talked about the Three Factors for the Revolution of Consciousness. To die: yes it is necessary to die, the Ego has to die, the Myself, the I. To be born: the Solar Bodies have to be born within ourselves because only in that form is it possible to attain the incarnation of the Being. Sacrifice for humanity: it is love, we have to sacrifice ourselves for the millions of human beings in the world. These are the Three Factors for the Revolution of Consciousness. Jesus resumes this saying: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. To deny ourselves means to eliminate the Ego, the I, the Myself.

To take the Cross and put it on our shoulders means the work in the forge of Cyclops, in the Ninth Sphere, because the cross is sexual. To follow Christ means love and sacrifice for humanity. We need to work intensely in the Three Factors; only in that way it is possible to attain the Inner Self-Realisation of the Being. People believe that through evolution it is possible to attain Self Realisation. That is a mistake because Self-Realisation cannot be a mechanical result, even if this is evolutive. If the great mechanism of nature, through evolution, could bring us to the final liberation it would mean that God is a tyrant because, to go by force where somebody does not want to go is absurd. There are millions who do not even want to go to heaven. Why should they be taken by force? Many people do not want the esoteric teachings. Why should anybody give it to them by force? Is it necessary to change? Yes, but why should people change by force? If evolution will transform humanity by force, then God is a tyrant. That is absurd: God is not a tyrant; He gives freedom to everyone to choose for himself the path he selects. He does not enslave anybody but respects the free will of everyone. Many believe that through innumerable reincarnations, it is possible to attain perfection. That is false. People do not know the difference between Reincarnation and Return. Reincarnation was publicly explained by the Lord Krishna who, as you know, lived one thousand years before Jesus. Krishna did not say that all human beings could reincarnate; Krishna taught that only the Gods, Devas, Demi-Gods, etc., are called to reincarnate. This can be strange to many but it is the reality. In order to reincarnate, it is necessary to have individuality and human beings do not have individualities - if we observe them carefully, we will see that they are full of contradictions. Everybody knows that we have many faults and try to cover them with excuses. If we could see ourselves as we really are, with all our faults

in front of a mirror, we would feel ashamed observing our inner contradictions. The origin of these contradictions is the multiplicity of the I (inside the five centres of our organic machine, we have different Is). For example, the I of the intellect says: I will study for a while, but the I of movement says: No. I want to walk a bit, and then appears a third one, the I of hunger or gluttony that says: No, I prefer to eat. Let us see how many contradictions we do have! We have many defects and each one of them is an I. So, we do not have a real individuality. These Is are not in harmony with each other: they fight, discuss; they do not have order. When one of them overcomes the rest, controlling the brain and the principal centres of the human machine, we see that the person is passionate for an idea or for a person of the opposite sex, etc. When that Ego is displaced, then we see that the one who had promised eternal love or loyalty to something, breaks his promise, leaving everybody of course, perplexed, amazed, confused. The human body, is a machine controlled by many Is. It is absurd to think that those many Is can reincarnate. When the time of death comes, what remains are a legion of demons; yes, Demon - Is that personify our mistakes. After sometime, those Demons - Is return, come back, return in new organisms. When they return, they repeat exactly the same actions of their past existences. This is the Law of Eternal Recurrence. So, humanity is governed by the Laws of Return and Recurrence. How can it

be possible to talk about reincarnation in that sense? Reincarnation is for those who do not have egos, for those who do not have those Is, individuals who are only Spirit; sacred individuals. The word reincarnation explains this, my dear brothers. Incarnation; we already know what it means: The descent of divinity into man, and reincarnation means the repetition of that descent in a new human organism. The problem is that in the western hemisphere, the doctrine of reincarnation was distorted and mixed with the Law of Eternal Return. Do not confuse reincarnation and return. All of you return; it is not possible to say that you reincarnate, because you are not sacred individuals; that is clear. If you want to reincarnate, you need to die from moment to moment. With the gradual elimination of the ego, marvellous processes appear. It is necessary to know that the Essence, the Psychic Material, is an emanation from the Universal Soul within ourselves (I am synthesising this, in order to make it easy to understand). That Essence is trapped inside all those multiple Demons - Is that we have. When we eliminate those Is, the Essence is liberated. For example, if we have perfume inside many bottles, it is obvious that when we destroy those bottles, the perfume is liberated. The same happens with the Consciousness, with the Essence trapped inside the Is: as we eliminate each I, the Essence attains its freedom and takes a concrete form. The first thing that we crystallise is the famous Seminal Pearl (from Taoism). Later, in time, the Seminal Pearl is transformed into the Golden Embryo, and this Golden Embryo can be developed more and more according to the elimination, the disintegration of the Is. The Golden Embryo crystallises a total balance between matter and spirit. The Golden Embryo brings authentic individuality. When all of the pluralised Is have been destroyed, what remains is the Golden Embryo, the awakened, illuminate, resplendent Consciousness. That type of Consciousness is free to move through infinite space. When the Consciousness awakens, we do not have problems with Astral Projection: we can go in and out of our body voluntarily. It is important, my dear brothers, during the work of dying, to learn how to use the

creative energy. Let us remember that in the Gnostic Mysteries there always appears the Chalice and Lance. The chalice represents the feminine Yoni, and the lance, the masculine sexual force. It is necessary to learn how to use the lance and the chalice: the masculine force and the feminine force. The great wise men of ancient times, always used the Sahaja Maithuna to disintegrate the Is, to return them to dust. During the Sahaja Maithuna, in the chemical copulation, in the supreme moment, it is necessary to beg our Divine Mother Kundalini to use the lance (the sexual force) and to return to dust those Is that control our organism. It is obvious that with the power of the lance, those Is will be disintegrated quickly and at the same time we will crystallise (inside of our Being) the Seminal Pearl that later, as I said, transforms itself into the Golden Flower, the Golden Embryo. That is the Mystery of the Golden Blooming. To those that do not have a wife nor a husband, they have to comprehend the mistake that they want to eliminate, and once it is understood, they have to beg the Divine Mother Kundalini for the elimination of the I that personifies the psychological error. The difference between singles and married people is that the latter have the force of the lance, and can destroy those defects more quickly. Singles can destroy the Is asking the Divine Mother Kundalini for the elimination of the error that they have already understood. When we are in the work of the elimination of the Three Traitors, or even further; when we want the elimination of the Dragon of Darkness, or many other subjective elements that the human being has in the deepest parts of the subconsciousness, it is necessary to have the Power of the Lance during the Sahaja Maithuna. When the Consciousness has been set free, when it is undressed in front of the Great Reality, then we can see, listen and touch the great realities of the superior worlds. We become competent investigators of life in those regions. The process of death itself is really profound my dear brothers. About the process of

birth, obviously we have to work with the hydrogens. Through a special shock that I have explained many times, we make the sexual hydrogen pass to a second octave of a superior level. This second octave vibrates with the notes Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-LaSi and crystallises after the saturation of the cells in the magnificent and marvellous form of the Astral body. When we cause the hydrogens to pass to a third octave of a superior level, then we crystallise the Mental body. The Mental body is extraordinary, marvellous! When we raise the hydrogen to a fourth octave of a superior level, then it crystallises (with the seven musical notes) in the extraordinary form of the Causal body. At this point we can incarnate the Human Soul or Causal, third aspect of the Atman-Buddhi Manas trinity. Then we have a man [woman] with soul, an authentic man, a real man. But we do not get to this point, my dear brothers, through simple beliefs or dogmas, or through evolutive processes. Working with the Three Factors for the Revolution of Consciousness is how we can walk the path to final liberation. If any of you has something to ask, you can do so with total freedom. Q. Venerable Master: Recently I have read something about the Wheel of Samsara, which the soul passes through different stages in each return, beginning in Aries (in one return), passing through all the zodiac. Of course the person can pass several times through the twelve zodiacal signs. What could you say about it? A. With pleasure I will answer your question, my dear brother. It is obvious that human beings are born under one or another zodiacal sign; all depends on the individual Karma. Here, there are no specific plans, as the author thinks. It is essentially karmic, that is the reason. When the initiate liberates himself from the Law of Recurrence (the law that forces us to repeat in each existence the same situations of the previous one), then we can select our zodiacal sign voluntarily. The Hindu wisdom talks about the Twelve

Nidanas, the Twelve Causes of Existence. These Twelve Causes are related with the twelve zodiacal signs. In the superior worlds exists the Zodiacal Temple; in that temple there are twelve sanctuaries, and when the initiate wants to have a physical body and reincarnate, he goes to the selected sanctuary. Someone will want to reincarnate under the constellation of Leo; others under Aquarius, or Pisces, or Aries, etc. So, when the initiate wants to have a physical body, he goes to any of those twelve sanctuaries and there he waits for the Masters of Karma. They are the Masters in charge of connecting the Silver chord with the sperm that will go into the womb. Let us pay attention, obviously the initiate can select his zodiacal sign voluntarily. This is what I have to say to you, my dear brothers, about the zodiac. It would be good for you to eliminate from your minds the dogma of evolution. Q. Thank you very much, Master. Can I ask you another question? A. Sure! Q. There are reasons to be concerned about the fact that in each return we have to repeat the same acts of the previous existence. I think that there should be some variations, at least... A. Well brother, in life there are exact repetitions and small variations, as you say. When the Consciousness is awakening, we are also becoming more independent from the Law of Repetitions, and when we are totally awake we do not have any connection with this law. But there are people that repeat everything exactly, even in the small details: people that are born in the same town, get married at the same age, have the same economic activities. They say, for example: At the age of twenty I will have a store; at the age of forty, I will have some children and my life will be this way... Later I could verify that the prophecies of those people were exact. Then, if we do not have enough comprehension, it is possible to think that those people are intuitive, prophetic or something like that. But that is nothing of the sort; what happens is that those people, because of the constant repetition, know

exactly their role; that is all. What is really important is to become independent from the Law of Recurrence, to be really free, and in order to do so my dear brothers we have to disintegrate the ego, because with the disintegration of the ego we awaken the Consciousness, and only having the Consciousness awakened can we be independent from the Law of Recurrence. Q. Master, you have said that it is possible to create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being without the total elimination of the Ego. What happens in this case? A. Well, my dear brother, there is no doubt that there are people who create the Solar Bodies and do not disintegrate the ego. Because they do not eliminate the ego, they do not awaken the Consciousness in a perfect and objective form. It is obvious that those people are Hanasmussins with a double centre of gravity, cosmic failures. For that reason the work has to be complete: it is necessary to eliminate the ego and create the Solar Bodies. With the same force that we create the Bodies, we can also destroy the ego. The one who learns how to use the lance, the Force of Eros, can (with that erotic power) disintegrate the ego. It is important, during the sexual connection, to send the sexual forces in direction of the Divine Mother Kundalini; it is necessary to beg in those moments to the Sacred Mother, to ask her to take the Lance of Eros, and with that extraordinary force disintegrate the ego that we have understood.

In that way we are dying from moment to moment. When we are dead, the Consciousness awakens completely. It is absurd to create the Solar Bodies and not die. It is necessary to create the Solar Bodies and to destroy the ego. Only in that way is the work perfect. Not to do so, my dear brothers, is to become a cosmic failure. You know how horrendous a Hanasmussin is. A Hanasmussin has a double centre of gravity. There are two parts: in one, the devil ego and in the other the Secret Master wearing the Solar Bodies. A white master and black one: a Hanasmussin, an abortion of the Cosmic Mother. I do not want you to fail; you have to understand profoundly what you have to do. Q. Master, what can you say about the one hundred and eight existences for every Essence, and the three thousand cycles? A. With pleasure I will answer your question my dear brother or, more accurately, I will

explain this aspect. Every Divine Monad has three thousand opportunities, every Divine Monad has three thousand cycles (do not confuse cycles or aeons of time with centuries). When I talk about three thousand cycles or aeons of time, you have to understand it. Each one of those cycles includes the evolutions through the mineral, vegetable, animal and also the 108 human existences that every Essence receives. It is obvious that if those 108 existences are not used correctly, the result is failure. Then the Essence, the Consciousness has to go through the path of involution; goes to the infernal worlds, comes back in time, passing through the animal, vegetable and mineral states. When the Essence passes through the mineral state, the Is are eliminated, the Essence goes once again to the solar light (undressed, clean), in order to re-initiate a new evolutive cycle that will begin from stone, will ascend to the vegetable, the animal, and will finally re-conquer the human state that it had lost. When the Essence has achieved the human state, it receives (like before) 108 existences. If it uses them correctly, it is marvellous, and if it does not use the 108 existences, it has to repeat the process. If the Monad does not use the three thousand cycles (if he fails), the opportunities end and he absorbs his Essence, his Consciousness, and penetrates the Universal Spirit of Life forever, Becoming a Monad that will enjoy happiness, but will not be a Master Monad. That is the crude reality my dear brothers. Now, you have to know what a Monad is. The Monad is not the theosophical Atman-BuddhiManas; the Monad is the Ancient of centuries, and inside of the Ancient of centuries is the Christ and the Sexual Force, the Holy Spirit. That is the Monad; He has to send the Essence to take a body in natures laboratory with the intention of attaining a Soul, to have an awakened Consciousness. When the human being triumphs, when the Consciousness attains Self-Realisation, it liberates itself from the mind and transforms itself into Atman, the Ineffable. Later it is absorbed into the Ancient of centuries; then the Ancient of centuries attains his Self Realisation, is a Self Realised Monad. Much later he can absorb himself into Ishwara and become a Logos, he can liberate himself from the Solar System, and once free from the Solar System has the right to live in the worlds of Paravapaba, until that moment

when the profound Cosmic Night comes. When the Cosmic Night comes, when the Great Pralaya arrives, he can absorb himself into the Absolute Abstract Space and there will live for seven eternities enjoying extraordinary happiness. After, in the new Mahamanvantara, it is obvious that he will have to come back to new activity, in order to resolve transcendental aspects of the spirit, for superior order. This is something that I will explain later, because this is not the correct moment. Q. Master, could you please explain these concepts? You have said that the Monad sends the Essence in order to attain the Soul. You have also said that a soul is possessed, a spirit is. Could you explain the differences between the Spirit and the Soul? A. Of course, my dear brother. I have spoken in synthesis, but if you want, I will explain it. It is obvious that the Ancient of Days, emanates what we would call the Spirit, the Atman-Buddhi-Manas. Atman, is the spirit, or the Being; Buddhi is the Spiritual Soul, and the Superior Manas is the Human Soul. So, the Intimus emanates from the Ancient of Days, but the Intimus has two souls: the spiritual one, Buddhi (is feminine), and a masculine one, the Human Soul. From the Human Soul comes the Essence. Unfortunately the Essence is trapped or enclosed among the different Is. When the human being destroys all those Is, the freed Essence transforms itself into the Golden Embryo. Much later that Golden Embryo can fuse itself with the Human Soul (in that form we become men with souls). That Embryo has the power to transform the Human Soul and to make it a Master-Soul. Much later, when we attain the incarnation of the Buddhi, the Golden Embryo also transforms the Buddhi, which is to say, the Spiritual Soul, and it becomes a Master-Soul (and even Atman becomes a Master because of the Golden Embryo). When the Golden Embryo is absorbed into the Monad, which is to say, inside of the Ancient of Days, the Ancient of Days attains his Self-Realisation. When the Monad goes even further, and absorbs itself into the ray that emanates from the Universal Spirit of Life, which is to say, the Ishwara or the Inner Logoi, then we transform ourselves into Logos, into Solar Logos, and that is the objective of our Solar System.

Only through a total revolution of the Consciousness, can we become Logos. When one reaches the Logos, one is freed from the solar system. He who is freed from the solar system, has the right to enter the Absolute, but in the next cosmic day will have to come back again to this galaxy with the intention to free himself from the galaxy itself, and then he will absorb himself into the Absolute. And for a third time will have to come back in order to free himself even from the infinite itself; then he will be able to absorb himself into the Absolute forever as a Paramarthasatya, which is to say, as a God with Christic Consciousness, as an ineffable creature of unspeakable splendour, inside of the unlimited Abstract Absolute Space. This is it! Did you understand this, my dear brothers? Q. Marvellous, Master! We do understand that the Monad sends his Essence to natures laboratory. We understand that the process of descending in order to learn and to attain Consciousness is necessary, so later it can ascend and in this process our superior parts of the Being can become a Master-Soul, as you have said. It is also surprising to know that there are Monads that after the three thousand cycles can fuse themselves into the Absolute even having been failures. We would like to know Master, what is the reason of this plan. A. With pleasure my dear brother. They are rare those Monads that fail in the three thousand cosmic cycles, but it is possible that some of them could fail. How important could it be in the Ocean of the Universal Spirit of Life, one resplendent wave more or less? It is just one wave that did not attain Self Realisation. That wave will not enter the Absolute, as you said, because that is for the Paramarthasatyas. That wave will live among the Universal Spirit of Life. It is clear that at the end of the Mahamanvantara, which wave enters (with all the other waves) into the Abstract, Limitless and Eternal Space of the Immaterial Shakti, but it is also true that when the dawn comes, that wave goes out with all the other waves, it is a bubble in the ocean that by law has to go out.

interested in knowing about Simon Bolivar. We would like to know: Has Simon Bolivar returned, with a physical body or is he still dead? A. About Simon Bolivar; that is very interesting, because he has a ray that we could call a Liberator. It is clear that an initiate sooner or later needs that ray in order to eliminate, we would say, some inferior atomic elements, inhuman elements, etc. Bolivar (the personality that we know as Bolivar, not the soul that was in that personality), has not yet come back. He will return, will come back in a new organism. Q. Venerable Master, you have said that many Liberator Atoms that gravitate over the atmosphere of Venezuela, will work again and that now the revolution will be spiritual. You also said that many of those atoms will work for the Great Cause, for the triumph of Gnosis in the New Age of Aquarius. What else could you say about those atoms? It could not remain in the Absolute; only the waves of Self Realised lights can stay in the Absolute, the Logos that have Self Realised Consciousness, Christic Consciousness. This is the effort that the Logos is exerting. I want you to know that in the depths of each one of us, there is an Inner Logoi that is eager for the Consciousness. The Logoi that attains Consciousness becomes a Self Realised Logos and every Self Realised Logos has the right to become a Paramarthasatya, an inhabitant of the Absolute. Do you understand this? Q. Venerable Master, I want to ask you about a Mexican man who was a great socialist, who distributed land among the Mexicans, his name was Emiliano Zapata. Does that man have a physical body? A. In this moment, Emiliano Zapata does not have body. However, many of those that were with him have a physical body, have returned to the physical world. Q. And this other great man, also Mexican, his name was Pancho Villa, does he have a physical body? Is he in the same condition? Pancho Villa is dead now. In the future he will have a body. Q. These themes, Venerable Master, are very important. We in Venezuela have always been A. Obviously, those Liberator Atoms are active, vibrate in space, in the entire atmosphere. Specially, they impregnate the mind of some individuals that have a mission to fulfil. The Liberator Atoms fight in order to become manifested at each moment. There is no doubt that in Venezuela they will manifest strongly. There, the Liberator Atoms want to crystallise, want to inundate the minds. There is no doubt that the Venezuelans can do a great work, and I know that they will do it. In the past they fought for the independence of five countries. In the same form in the future, those Liberator Atoms will impregnate determinate minds and will help so that many commit themselves to walk the path of liberation, not just nationally but even world wide. That country is impregnated very much by the Liberator atoms. Because the people of Venezuela pay homage to the figure of Simon Bolivar, they attract, inhale those liberator forces. For that reason so much is expected from that country. There is no doubt that a country can commit itself to fight for the good of humanity. Q. Venerable Master, what do you think about some sects that invoke Simon Bolivar? A. Well, it depends on the kind of sect. If we speak about spiritualist sects I would have to say to you that they are subjective and incipient because, through mediums, they can express only dark entities that can take the place of Simon Bolivar, because in the Inferior Astral World there are many larvae and entities that can take the mediums body and present themselves as Simon Bolivar. We have to be very careful with that. In reality only in the superior worlds of consciousness is it possible to have contact with Simon Bolivar. But in order to do so it is necessary to awaken the Consciousness. Otherwise, it is impossible. Q. That brothers question was interesting, because I remember a case that happened in Maracaibo, where there was a girl who could see you visiting her to recommend some medical prescriptions. At that time I think that she sent you a letter and you answered saying that it was your Real Being (Samael) that used to speak with her. We would like to know if your Real Being can make him visible, as in that case. A. Well, sometimes my Spirit can make him visible in front of some disciples, it can be possible that they can see him. My Inner Being can cure at a distance, to perform good actions in favour of humanity, etc. About the girl, honestly, because it happened so many years ago and I have lived so many psychic experiences, right now I do not remember. I would have to investigate it in the superior worlds; this is it. Q. Venerable Master Samael, you were speaking about the God Snail and the God Sun,

a very interesting theme that you have not explained in any of your books. Could you give us some insight about that theme? A. Well, that would be a very long lecture. What I could say to you now is that the God Snail belongs to the Lunar Path, the spiral path that follows painful humanity. About the God Sun, it is different. The God Sun means the Straight Path. So, there are two lines: the spiral and the straight. There is a supreme moment for all the millions of Essences that live on the face of Earth. I want to point out emphatically the very first moment that we decide to take the Solar Path, which is very different of course to the Lunar Path. To all the millions or billions of virginal sparks comes the precise moment, the critical time in which they have to decide if they will follow the Solar Path or the Lunar Path. When somebody intentionally takes the Path of the razors edge, then there is no coming back. Those that attain mastery and later want to come back in order to follow the Lunar Path, will have to pass frightful eternities in the infernal worlds, to finally attain, after many millions or billions of years the annihilation of the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being and the destruction of the animal ego. families have their own temples in Eden. There those innocent creatures have their reunions and receive instructions from the Devas that govern them. He who knows how to travel with the Etheric body can perfectly verify (by himself and in a direct way) what I am saying at this moment. It is worthy to investigate, to study the doctrine in order to discover those prodigious things. John the Baptist lives in the Vital World, in Eden, Heaven. John the Baptist, is a real illuminate, a Christus, someone that has already incarnated in himself the Verb, the Word, the Inner Christ. In order to penetrate into Eden, it is necessary to know how to travel with the Vital body and have already received profound esoteric education. Much further in this beautiful Vital region we discover what we could call the Astral World. The real initiate has an Astral body (not all human beings have it, but the initiate does). Also the planet Earth has an Astral body. The Astral World is marvellous. By itself it is the world of colour. It has seven basic tones in accordance with the seven musical notes, in accordance with the seven fundamental colours of the solar light. The Astral World has sublime

herefore, the Vital World is something worthy to be investigated. In Eden, in the Vital World, there are extraordinary things. Anyone who knows how to travel with the Vital body through Heaven, will see other human races. There are paradisiacal races that live in the fourth dimension; they live near to us but are invisible. I know one of those races, and they have physical bodies, they reproduce themselves like us and live around us but people do not see them because of different modifications of matter. There are still human races that have not left Heaven, that live happy and content; people of flesh and bone, invisible to those that live in the three dimensional region of Euclid; Edenic peoples who have not eaten yet of that fruit of which was said: You will not eat it, because if you eat it, you will die!; people that have obeyed that order. The Vital or Edenic World, is beautiful. The mountains in that region are transparent like crystal and they have a beautiful blue colour. The oceans show this colour and also the land. The basic colour, the fundamental colour, in Eden is blue, but this does not mean that there does not exist the entire spectrum of colours in Eden. They exist, but the fundamental colour is that intense blue of ether. The Vital World is really beautiful. There are extraordinary temples. There we see the temples of the elementals of nature. Each plant, for example, is the physical body of an elemental. One is the family of the oranges, another one the pines, other the mint, the roses, etc. Those vegetables, those elemental

regions and others that unfortunately I would say are infernal. In the Astral World we find the legions of angels and demons (we could say that in the Astral World angels and demons fight). He who has an Astral body can travel through the astral regions. One can know them, can discover its prodigies, etc. I could emphatically say that the Astral World is the World of the Sacraments and this obviously has been already demonstrated esoterically. Any real adept has an Astral body. It is possible to make the Astral body visible and tangible, after the death of the physical one. There exists in esotericism a sacrament called Almoadzan. Through that sacrament, a master (after the death of the physical body)

there exists the Hambledzoid of the Being (astral blood or corpuscules of subtle blood related to the astral). This liturgy combined with the blood operation, as I said (with the astral blood inside the physical blood) goes into the astral part of each disciple that have celebrated this liturgy. In this form, inside the master is deposited the Hambledzoid of the Being of each of his students. The astral blood contained in the physical blood, will go to the astral part of the disciples and master. Only in this manner is it possible for the master, after the death of the physical body, to materialise and live with his Astral body here in the threedimensional region of Euclid, in this heavy world full of darkness, where we only listen to the wailing and gnashing of teeth. The Astral World is an igneous one (angelical and diabolic), and this is something that we have to understand. In the Astral World there lives the disembodied people: the captive souls, the captive spirits and also those that work with high and low magic. In the Astral World we can find Elohim Gibor or Andrameleck, Michael or his opposite, Chavajoth or Raphael, Lilith or Nahemah, Michael or Lucifer, etc etc., etc. In that region live the legions of angels and demons that fight each other. Those that work with practical magic, live specially in the Astral World. Let us remember Eliphas Levi, the abbot Alphonso Louis Constant: a great master that lives obviously in the Astral World. There he lives, there he works, there he exists because he is a magician. It is necessary to reevaluate the word magician. Unfortunately, in these times any trickster, any juggler, even the ignorant swindler that has the agility of his hands to fool people is called a magician. In ancient times, the magician was a great wise man, the illuminated one, the one that had the wand of power, the one that had developed in his occult anatomy the Serpent of Fire that rises in the body of the ascetic. In the Astral World it is possible to invoke the angels and also the demons. There are ineffable angelic formulas that make it possible to be assisted by the Elohim; but there are also mantric devil formulas or liturgies than are used to invoke demons.

Angels and demons obey the magician. The magician lives in the Astral World. Any adept who has worked in high or low magic, has to live in the Astral World. The Astral World is a world of sparkling colours. The astral is the burning fire that sparks and burns in all of the universe. There we find the souls of those that are dead (there they live, there they exist) and we can speak with them, if we know how to go out of the physical body voluntarily. Over the Astral World we find the World of the Mind. When a person is able to form a Mental body, when he has one, he is able to travel through the World of the Universal Mind. In the World of the Mind we find wisdom, knowledge. There are temples of the gods, the temples of Hermes Trismegistus, where his actions are mentioned, where his knowledge is revered. Few are those who know how to travel with the Mental body and this is because few are those that have formed, for their personal use, a Mental body. When one learns how to travel with the Mental body one discovers that the Mind of the World is gigantic. Within the Mind of our planet we find the slum quarters, the markets, etc., but we also see the sublime part of Universal Understanding. In the World of the Mind there is everything. There we find the thoughts of people, the ideas of everybody, etc. Some souls that in life showed good behaviour are rewarded. For some time they live in the Devachan, in the Region of the Superior Mind and can even visit the Causal, but later when the reward is finished they have to come back (once again) to a new physical body. In the World of the Mind there is pain and happiness, all depends on the region we are in.

In the Inferior Regions of the World of the Mind there is pain; in the Superior Regions there is happiness. In the World of the Mind we also find many Devas that love humanity. They work for the common good, they fight for the good of so many millions of people who live on the face of the Earth. Brothers, it is time to understand clearly that if one does not know his own particular mind, that if one does not know his own mental process, that if one does not know how to dominate his mind and to control his senses, one will not know the Cosmic Mind, the Universal Mind. Let us remember that the mind that is the slave of the senses, makes the soul like a boat that the wind lost on the waters... How could we know the Universal Mind if we do not even know our own mind, if we have not studied the Forty-Nine Levels of Understanding, if we have still not disintegrated the undesirable elements that we have in the mind? Therefore, it is possible to explore the Mind only if we have explored our own mind. Much further from the Region of the Universal Mind or Terrestrial Mind, is the world of Natural Causes. If one has not created a Causal body, for his own use, how could it be possible to explore the World of Cosmic Causes? How could one travel in the Causal body? How could one know the World of Natural Causes? One has to study his own causative life: to have discovered the causes of ones errors, to know oneself in order to have the right to become a Causal Man [woman]. Only the Causal Man can live consciously in the Causal World. Only the

Causal Man can travel in the World of Natural Causes; only the Causal Man has access to the Secret Archives of the Causal Region. In the World of Natural Causes, once again the profound blue colour dominates. The adepts of the Causal World work for humanity; they dress in similar form as here, on the planet Earth. They have their temples and are really busy in the works that they do for the common good. In the World of Natural Causes we find the Law of Balance. The Causal Man always works in accordance with Cosmic Balance; he lives in perfect equilibrium. In the Causal World we discover that there is no effect without a cause, nor a cause without an effect. The cause transforms itself into an effect and the effect is transformed into a cause that originates other effects. The Law of Cause and Effect is real and we know it perfectly when it is investigated in the world of Natural Causes. The Causal Man is the man that has formed a Causal body. The Causal Man already has an individual will. We have to say in an emphatic manner that the intellectual animal mistakenly called man, does not have a real individuality yet. Obviously the intellectual animal is not a man in the most transcendental sense of the word. When one has the luxury to have created a Causal body or Body of Conscious Will, then one knows what happiness really is. If we think of the multiplicity of the psychological I, if we think of each one of the defects that we have, perfectly represented by an inhuman psychological aggregate, we then discover that we have many wills. Each psychological aggregate is a tenebrous entity within ourselves that personifies an error that has its own will. However, when one has formed the Body of Conscious Will, then one has an individual will which is useful in working in the entire universe. In the World of Natural Causes we find the Causal Men, those who have formed the Causal body. How could we know the Causal World if first we do not know the causes of our own errors? How could we know the Causal World when we still do not know our own mistaken causes? In reality, I repeat, he who wants to know the Inner Worlds of the Planet Earth will have to begin by knowing his own Internal World. That means self-exploration and conscious work on oneself. Beyond the World of Conscious Will, we find the Buddhic or Intuitional World. Obviously, we could not penetrate into the Buddhic or Intuitional World if first we do not know our own intuitive reality, if first we do not develop intuition. There is a clear difference between the reasoning-comparative process and the intuition. The reason works based on the processes of comparison: this is white because that is black or vice versa. Intuition is something different. It is the direct perception

The different aggregates that live in us represent different mechanical impulses. There are many wills (deep in our psyche) that fight between themselves. The intellectual animal does not have an individual will; there is no unity in the will of the intellectual animal.

of the truth, without the depressing process of option. In the Buddhic or Intuitional World, there exists intuition. Much further from that region, is the Region of Atman, the Ineffable. But in the Region of Intuition we discover the universal wisdom: of what is, of what has been and of what will be. In the Buddhic or Intuitional World, there is ineffable wisdom, there is fraternity, unity, totality, love. Those that live in the World of Intuition enjoy authentic happiness. Therefore, it is worthwhile to investigate all of this. Much further from the Buddhic or Intuitional World, is the Region of Atman (the Ineffable), the Region of the Intimus, the Being. The Being is the being and the reason of his existence, is the Being himself. The Intimus has two souls: the Spiritual Soul that is feminine and the Human Soul that is masculine. If we read the Divine Comedy we will see that Dante also speaks about two souls: the one that works (the human) and the one that contemplates, the one that observes herself in the mirror of nature. So much has been said about the zodiacal sign of Gemini. I say that we carry this sign within ourselves, deep in our soul. The Intimus has, I repeat, two souls: the Spiritual which is feminine; the Human, which is masculine. The spiritual one is the Valkyrie, is Ginebra, the Queen of Jinns, the one that Lancelot helped with the wine of the delicious chalices of Suka and Manti. The Human Soul suffers, weeps; is masculine. Through this soul the Cosmic Crestos, the powerful astral mediator that connects our physical personality with the supreme irradiation of the Solar Father vibrates.

It is possible to incarnate the two souls, but that means rigorous esoteric disciplines. It is necessary to have first created the Astral, Mental and Causal bodies, here and now. Only the free initiate, the one who has eliminated the ego, who has really worked profoundly on himself is dignified to incarnate the two souls. This means to make real the zodiacal sign of Gemini, because those two souls are twins. Undoubtedly, the Human Soul has to marry his lady: the Valkyrie, the Shulamite of the wise Solomon who appears in the Song of Songs. The one who can incarnate in himself those two souls will achieve total liberation, wisdom. First, it is necessary to receive the Spiritual Principle, Human Principle, masculine; second, the Human Soul, the masculine part has to marry the feminine, spiritual part. Through the Buddhi, the Valkyrie, the Ginebra, shines the Logos. Obviously, the most powerful divine principles are in the Soul-Spirit, in the Buddhi. That is why Blavatsky in her book The Voice of the Silence says: the Buddhi is like a glass of alabaster, slender and transparent, in which the fire of Prajna burns. When the Human Soul (what we have of human within ourselves) marries the Soul-Spirit and the Inner light is established in ourselves, we are then transfigured, resplendent, illuminated. But in order to attain that contact it is necessary to work very hard within ourselves, in an intense manner, forming the Existential Superior Bodies of the Being, eliminating the ego and sacrificing ourselves for humanity. In that form brothers, what really counts is to become truly adept in the Inner Light Fraternity. If we do so, we will reach the Real Inner Illumination; if we do so, we will achieve authentic peace, it will be possible to submerge ourselves in the region of authentic happiness, etc.

It is necessary to get out of the Kingdom of Darkness in which we find ourselves; it is really urgent to attain the World of Splendour. It is necessary to investigate, to reflect and, I repeat, to study these things. If we do not analyse, if we do not study these matters, we will never achieve final liberation. Each one of us has to work on himself if in reality we want to one day achieve authentic final liberation. But in order to work on ourselves it is (absolutely) necessary to have the knowledge, the keys, the practices. Here, we will give our students the systems, the methods to work on themselves, so they will be able to achieve a total transformation. It is necessary to have continuity of purpose because many begin in these studies and few finish. It happens that people do not have continuity of purpose: today they begin with a lot of enthusiasm and later on, they leave the doctrines body. In the world there is everything: there are fickle people, those that go from school to school and believe they know a lot, when in reality they do not know anything. We have to define ourselves. This institution does not look for anything but the Inner Self-Realisation of the human being. We are not interested in the fickle people that go from school to school and that finally go nowhere. What we are really interested in is the work on ourselves, in order to achieve Radical Transformation. We need to become adept in the Fraternity of the Inner Light and this is possible by working on ourselves here and now. The time is coming when the Son of Man will have to teach the path to humanity. Unfortunately people listening do not listen, and seeing with their eyes do not see; the path is shown and they do not understand it, and even if they could understand it slightly, they do not have a continuity of purpose to achieve their goal and soon they go somewhere else. The Gnostic Movement is like a train: some passengers get on at a station and some others get off; rare are those passengers that go to the final station. The members of our institution are invited, they can achieve the goal if they want. How unfortunate it is that people have fickle

minds and that today they think something and tomorrow something else! If people were really serious, they would only be committed to working profoundly on themselves. In this institution we teach people how to eliminate the psychological aggregates that we have within ourselves. In this school we teach human beings the Path of the Authentic Sacrifice and how to form the Astral, Mental and Causal bodies in order to become a real person, legitimate, authentic, in the most transcendental sense of the word. Obviously, when the Man is growing up (within the intellectual animal) there are extraordinary transformations. Some powers, some extraordinary faculties are awakened. The whole man, achieves the point in which he even has perfect control over the tattwas. What are the tattwas? Vibrations of the Universal Ether. The Tattwas are the principles of the elements of nature. The etheric vital principle of water is Apas; the etheric vital principle of air is the Vayu Tattwa; the vital etheric principle of fire is the Agni Tattwa or Tejas or Taijas Tattwa; the vital etheric principle of Earth is precisely the Prithvi Tattwa. The authentic man is the man who has created the Astral, Mental and Causal bodies. He who is able to go into the Etheric World, he who is able to move in the Astral World, he who can penetrate intelligently into the World of the

Cosmic Mind, or can travel through the World of Natural Causes: over the perfumed soil and fire, over the stormy waters and over the hurricane winds. For that reason, the adept truly becomes a King of Nature and the Cosmos. Tattwas themselves belong to the Etheric World, to the Vital World, to the Vital body of the planet Earth. Tattwas are vibrations of ether, tattwas penetrate directly into the endocrine glands of the human organism but do not leave them. Tattwas when entering into the chakras move to the endocrine glands and then are transformed in hormones; hormones that circulate in the blood. They do not leave. The awakening of the tattwic powers is something amazing, but this is possible only for the authentic man; he who is able to live consciously in the Astral World or the one who knows how to travel in the World of the Mind, or to the Causal Man who has his centre of gravity precisely in the World of Natural Causes. A Self-Realised adept is a man in the most complete sense of the word because he manages the tattwas, because he can use them voluntarily. He is a man that manages fire, air, the waters and the earth; he is able to provoke storms, etc., he is versed in the use of the tattwas, he is a real man, he is a Self-Realised Master, he is someone who knows the Superior Worlds.

The moment has come in which each one of you must fight for Self Realisation; the moment has come in which each one of you must know his own inner worlds, in order to know the inner worlds of your friends and the inner worlds of the planet Earth and the solar system and the galaxy we live in. -Samael Aun Weor

1. The Twin-Verses What we are is the result of what we have thought, is built by our thoughts, is made up of our thoughts. If one speaks or acts with an impure thought, suffering follows one, like the wheel of the cart follows the foot of the ox. What we are is the result of what we have thought, is built by our thoughts, is made up of our thoughts. If one speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows one, like a shadow that never leaves. "They insulted me; they hurt me; they defeated me; they cheated me." In those who harbor such thoughts, hate will never cease. "They insulted me; they hurt me; they defeated me; they cheated me." In those who do not harbor such thoughts, hate will cease. For hate is never conquered by hate. Hate is conquered by love. This is an eternal law. Many do not realise that we must all come to an end here; but those who do realise this, end their quarrels at once. Whoever lives only for pleasures, with senses uncontrolled, immoderate in eating, lazy, and weak, will be overthrown by Mara, like the wind throws down a weak tree. Whoever lives not for pleasures, with senses well controlled, moderate in eating, has faith and the power of virtue, will not be overthrown by Mara, any more than the wind throws down a rocky mountain. Whoever would put on the yellow robe without having cleansed oneself from impurity, disregarding self-control and truth, is not deserving of the yellow robe.

But whoever has cleansed oneself from impurity, is well grounded in all the virtues, and is possessed of self-control and truth, is deserving of the yellow robe. Those who imagine truth in untruth and see untruth in truth never arrive at truth but follow vain desires. Those who know truth as truth and untruth as untruth arrive at truth and follow true desires. As rain makes its way into a badly roofed house, so passion makes its way into an unreflecting mind. As rain does not make its way into a well roofed house, so passion does not make its way into a reflecting mind. Wrong-doers grieve in this world, and they grieve in the next; they grieve in both. They grieve and are afflicted when they see the wrong they have done. The virtuous find joy in this world, and they find joy in the next; they find joy in both. They find joy and are glad when they see the good they have done. Wrong-doers suffer in this world, and they suffer in the next; they suffer in both. They suffer when they think of the wrong they have done. They suffer even more when going on the wrong path. The virtuous are happy in this world, and they are happy in the next; they are happy in both. They are happy when they think of the good they have done. They are even happier when going on the good path. Even if the thoughtless can recite many of the scriptures, if they do not act accordingly, they are not living the holy life, but are like a cowherd counting the cows of others. Even if the faithful can recite only a few of the scriptures, if they act accordingly, having given up passion, hate, and folly, being possessed of true knowledge and serenity of mind, craving nothing in this world or the next, they are living the holy life.

Chapter 10 - Knowing How to Listen By Samael Aun Weor

Only in a state of alert novelty, with a spontaneous mind, free of the burden of the past, in a state of plain receptivity, can we really listen without the intervention of that extremely bad secretary of bad augur called the I, Myself, Me, Ego. When the mind is conditioned by memory, it only repeats what it has accumulated. The mind, conditioned by the experiences of so many yesterdays, can only see the present through the cloudy lens of the past. If we want to know how to listen, if we want to learn how to listen to discover the new, we should live in accordance with the philosophy of the moment. It is urgent to live from moment to moment, without the preoccupations of the past and without the projections of the future. The truth is unknown from moment to moment. Our minds should always be alert, in complete attention, free of prejudices, preconceptions, to be really receptive. School teachers should teach their pupils the profound significance contained within that matter of knowing how to listen. It is necessary to learn to live wisely, reaffirming our senses, refining our conduct, our thoughts, our sentiments. It is of no use to have a great academic culture if we do not know how to listen, if we are not capable of discovering the new from moment to moment.

In the world there exists many orators that astonish with their eloquence, but few are they who know how to listen.

Knowing how to listen is very difficult; few are they who truly know how to listen. When the teacher, the lecturer, speaks, the audience seems to be very attentive as if following in detail each word of the speaker. Everything indicates that they are listening, that they are in a state of alertness, but in the psychological depth of each individual there is a secretary that translates each word of the speaker. This secretary is the I, the Myself, the Me. The job of said secretary consists of misinterpreting, of mistranslating the words of the speaker. The I translates in accordance with its prejudices, preconceptions, fears, pride, anxieties, ideas, memories etc. The students in school, the individuals that together constitute the audience that listens, is really not listening to the speaker. They are listening to themselves, they are listening to their own ego, to their beloved Machiavellian Ego that is not willing to accept the Real, the True, the Essential.

We need to refine attention, to refine our manners, refine our persons, our things, etc. It is impossible to be really refined when we do not know how to listen. Coarse, rough, deteriorated, degenerated minds never know how to listen, never know how to discover the new. Those minds only comprehend, only understand in a mistaken manner the absurd translations of that satanic secretary called the I, Myself, Ego. To be refined is something very difficult and it requires complete attention. Someone can be a very refined person in fashion, in suits, dresses, gardens, automobiles, in friendships. However, in their interior, they continue being rough, coarse and unpleasant. He who knows how to live from moment to moment really marches on the path of true refinement. He who has a receptive, spontaneous, integral, alert mind walks on the path of authentic refinement. He who opens himself to everything new, abandoning the burden of the past, the preconceptions, the prejudices, jealousies, fanaticisms, etc., marches triumphantly on the path of legitimate refinement. The degenerated mind lives imprisoned in the past, in preconceptions, pride, self-esteem, prejudices, etc. The degenerated mind does not know how to see new things, does not know how to listen; it is conditioned by self-esteem. The fanatics of Marxism-Leninism do not accept new things, do not admit the fourth characteristic of all things, the fourth dimension, because of pride. They love themselves too much; they become attached to their own absurd materialistic theories and

when we place ourselves in the area of concrete facts, they raise the left arm, look at the hands of their wristwatch, give an evasive excuse and leave. Those are degenerate minds, decrepit minds that do not know how to listen, that do not know how to discover the new, that do not accept reality because they are imprisoned in self-esteem. Minds that love themselves too much, minds that do not know about cultural refinements; coarse minds, rough minds, which only listen to their beloved ego. Fundamental Education teaches how to listen, teaches how to live wisely. Schoolteachers, teachers of colleges and universities, should teach their pupils the authentic path of true vital refinement. It is of no use to remain ten and fifteen years in schools, colleges and universities if, on coming out, we are internally, true pigs in our thoughts, ideas, sentiments and habits. Fundamental Education is needed in an urgent manner because the new generations signify the beginning of a new era. The hour has arrived of True Revolution, the moment of Fundamental Education has arrived. The past is the past and has already given fruits. We need to comprehend the deep significance of the moment in which we live.
