Datum Corporation is a global engineering and manufacturing company with its head office in London, U.K. An IT office and data center are in London to support the head office and other branch locations. A. Datum has recently deployed a Windows Server 2012 server and client infrastructure. A. Datum is deploying servers to branch offices throughout the region for the Research department. You have been tasked with helping to automate this deployment. You suggest using Windows Deployment Services to deploy Windows Server 2012 to the branch offices. You have been sent some instructions by email regarding the deployment. You must read these instructions, and then install and configure Windows Deployment Services to support the deployment. Read Supporting Documentation Read the supporting documentation in the exercise scenario to determine the deployment details. 2. Activate Windows Logon Press Ctrl + Alt + End to activate the Windows Logon screen. You need to activate the Ctrl + Alt + Delete sequence to bring up the logon page. Add Deployment Services and Features On the Select server roles page, select the Windows Deployment Services check box. In the Add Roles and Features Wizard window, click Add Features. 9. Advance Wizard On the Select server roles page, select click Next. 10. Accept Default Features On the Select features page, click Next. 11. Review WDS Information On the WDSpage, review the information presented, and then click Next. 12. Accept Role Services On the Select role services page, click Next. 13. Install Deployment Services On the Confirm installation selections page, click Install. 14. Close Wizard On the Installation Results page, click Close. 15. Open Deployment Services In Server Manager, click Tools, and then click Windows Deployment Services. 16. Start Server Configuration Wizard In the Windows Deployment Services console, expand Servers. Start Add I mage Wizard In Windows Deployment Services, in the console tree, expand LON-SVR1.Adatum.com. Right-click Boot Images, and then click Add Boot Image. 3. Browse for Image File In the Add I mage Wizard, on the I mage File page, click Browse. 4. Select D:\ Sources\ Boot.wim In the Select Windows Image File dialog box, in the navigation pane, click Computer, double-click DVD Drive (D:), double-click sources, and then double-click boot.wim. Browse for Image File In the Add I mage Wizard, on the I mage File page, click Browse. 13. Select D:\ sources\ install.wim In the File name text box, type: D:\ sources\ install.wim and then click Open. 14. Advance Wizard On the Image Filepage, click Next. 15. Set Server Standard Core I mage On the Available Images page, clear all check boxes except Windows Server 2012 SERVERSTANDARDCORE, and then click Next. 16. Advance Wizard On the Users or Groups page, click Next. 21. Create Custom Task to Delegate On the Tasks to Delegatepage, click Create a custom task to delegate, and then click Next. 22. Set Task Only for Computers On the Active Directory Object Type page, click Only the following objects in the folder, select the Computer objects check box, select the Create selected objects in this folder check box, and then click Next. 23.
