26. After some time (3MW) close the Turbine drains which is required.
27. Increase the boiler pressure and raise the load.

Manually speed increased/decreased through WWG 505

1. However speed can be manually increased /decreased by pressing SPEED key
and select the SPEED REF.SET POINT after scrolling down the menu or a valid
set point can be directly entered by pressing enter and then entering the set
valve followed be pressing ENTER key again.
2. For further synchronizing the Turbine with Generator speed set point can be
increased / decreased by raise / lower push button on generator control panel.
3. Ensure that HP VALVE LIMITER is increased to 100% (if not increased earlier)
before synchronizing.
4. For changing the control from speed control to load control after synchronization
press F4 key and then press YES for enabling CASCADE CONTROL i.e. load
control.
5. Press CAS (4) and INCREASE / DECREASE the selected load set point as per
requirement through DCS
For taking LP extraction in service.
1. Ensure that LP line-up is OK.
2. Ensure the drains in LP line are open & line is properly warmed up.
3. Ensure the load on the turbine is more than min (12 MW) for taking extraction in
service.
4. Press LIMITER and select LP VALVE LIMITER
5. Slowly reduce the LP VALVE LIMITER and observe that the LP pressure is
increasing When the pressure in the extraction line (which is available in WWE )
is more than the header pressure flow will start.
6. Press EXT /ADM and ensure that the extraction set pressure and actual process
pressure is matching.
7. Press F3 key message will be EXTRACTION ENABLE_?
8. Press YES for putting extraction pressure auto control. Adjust extraction
pressure as per requirement by pressing EXT / ADM and then pressing
ADJ UP / DOWN key.
9. For taking out extraction press F3 key and then NO

After Tripping of Turbine

1. During coasting down time watch the Turbine parameter
2. Start JOP at 350 rpm
3. At Zero speed of engage the barring Gear and start the machine.

Emergency action

1. In case of total power failure ensure that DCEOP has started on auto mode if not
start it manually. Arrange for normalizing for supply as early as possible till that
time DCEOP will be running. over head tank will supply oil for 64 minutes during
coasting down time.
2. Never try to rotate Turbine by Hand without oil.
3. During Shut down or after Tripping of Turbine, to start Turbine it takes long
time.CEP should run for 8-9 hrs
4. MCW should run for 8-9 hrs
5. ACW should run for bearing temperature comes down to 30 Deg.c
