Hangouts and Shopping in and around IMT Hyderabad

Hyderabad is a paradise for food lovers, shoppers and wanderlusts. Here are the following
information regarding hangouts in the city and transportation.
1. IMT Campus and Suchis Dhaba
There is a Dhaba just outside out Campus. You will get North Indian Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian
food and snacks here in a moderate rate. A full meal for two will cost you approximately 400. It is
just a minute walk from our campus. There is a small canteen in our campus that sells fast foods like
pizza, patties, Maggie, sandwiches, cold drinks, omelette etc. There is another small dhaba on the
back of the campus which is around 15 to 20 mins walk from our college. There is a small shop in the
campus named, Reprography which deals with Xerox, print outs and they sell pens, notebooks,
pencils etc.
2. Gachibowli
Gachibowli is around 30kms away from our campus. You need to take an auto to Shamshabad from
IMT. Then you tell the autowala to drop you at the point from where you can get shared cabs to
Gachibowli. From there, look for the vehicles with number plates that are yellow in colour. Ask them
if they are going to Gachibowli or not. You will reach in approximately 30 mins to Gachibowli via the
Outer Ring Road (ORR). The fare is around 10 to 20 per person. The easiest mode of Transport
from Gachibowli to the following places is Auto. But you have to bargain, and the recommended
price to be given after the final bargain are:

While coming back, take auto back to Gachibowli and take a shared cab to Shamshabad.
2. Mehdipatnam area
Being the most posh locality of Hyderabad, Banjara Hills, near to Mehdipatnam attract a great
number of footfalls from our college. You need to take an auto to Shamshabad from IMT. Then you
tell the autowala to drop you at Shamshabad Bus Stop. From there you have to look for shared cabs
that will take you to Mehdipatnam via the P.V.Narsimha Rao Flyover. They will charge between 10
to 20. From there you can take the Auto to:

3. Shamshabad
Shamshabad is the nearest place where you can go and get good restaurants, medicine shop,
hospitals, groceries and all. Take an auto from IMT and enjoy food at Hyderabad House, Swagath
Grand, Vengamamba, Sri Udupi Tiffins, Parivaar Dhaba, Oyster Hotel, Liquor Shops etc. You have
many other stores vegetables to electronic items. Many barber shops are also here. All your
necessities like bucket, mugs, soaps etc you can get from Shamshabad.
4. Hyderabad Airport
This is another destination where you will find good food and great ambience for hangout.
Hyderabad airport basement is open to common public. That is a great thing isnt it. You have KFC,
Mc Donalds, Kholanis, Airport Bar, Costa Coffee, Karachi Bakery, and on the top of that you have Go
Carting. An auto from IMT campus to Hyderabad Airport will cost 200. They will drop you at Airport
Bus Stand, from there you can take the free shuttle to the airport that will take 5 minutes. While
coming back, call the auto to the airport bus stand. Another option is to take an auto to Shamshabad
and get a shared cab at 10 per person. There is also a huge retail of Decathlon at the airport, where
you will get t-shirts, sports shoes, jumpers, sweaters, and all sport equipment at a very moderate
rate. The shop is open till 9pm in the night.
5. Big Basket
This is an online shopping website that delivers to our campus. www.bigbasket.com You can order
almost everything related to groceries from frozen food, meats, fruits, vegetables, cosmetics, eggs,
fish, bread, dairy products, beverages, sweets, chocolates, kitchenware, oral care, and many more.
You just order online, either pay by card or get cash on delivery, and your stuff will be delivered
within 24 hours, as per your chosen delivery slot. The delivery is done in between the hostels.
Campus Timings
The time for entry from Monday to Thursday to the campus: 9.30pm
The time for entry from Friday to Sunday to the campus: 10.30pm
If you want to stay overnight out, you should fill a night out form and leave it to the security at the
Front Gate.
