Wizzair Technical Questions

Aircraft approach categories are based on the maximum speed an aircraft can safely manoeuvre at 1.3 times its stall speed. Category A is less than 91 knots, B is 91-120 knots, C is 121-140 knots, D is 141-165 knots, and E is over 165 knots. If an aircraft exceeds the upper speed limit of its category during approach or circling, it must use the minimums for the next highest category. ETOPS refers to extended twin engine operations beyond 60 minutes from an alternate airport. ICAO categories for ETOPS vary between 60-180 minutes.

WhyareFlightLevelintervalsincreasedto2000ftinnonRVSMairspace?
Because of altimeter errors (lower air density). Reduced vertical RVSM to 1000ft
separation above FL290 is granted to aircraft with advanced and more accurate
altimeters,usuallycrowdedroutes(TransAtlanticRoutes).
