Note: The bearing capacity is estimate from shear angle to be at 1.5m deep assuming a 1m by
0.6m pad footing, settlement under this calculated bearing pressure are expected to be excessive
unless the bearing pressure used does not exceed the pre-consolidated pressure.
-The estimation of pre-consolidation pressure is greatly affected by the amount of disturbance
experienced by the soil sample.
-The characteristic of the soil (Sandy silt with gravels) will normally experience immediate
settlement during construction phase.
