The company was coming off a downswing of projects, and cutting back personnel due to market changes. The owner felt the
estimating department needed a new spark of energy and ideas on how to market itself among owners, architects and even
subcontractors. The first successful challenge was to revitalize the core of estimating, the subcontractor base, with an emphasis on
the relationship of a true winning team. The second challenge was to re-introduce the company to a competitive bid market. Over
the last 15 + years, the company had negotiated almost all of their work. In the first year, we have connected with many architects
and owners in existing and new markets, including a variety of medical related construction projects.

SENIOR ESTIMATOR YEARS EMPLOYED: 11/2000 TO 4/2008

Berks Ridge Company Enterprises, Inc Harleysville, Pennsylvania

The main purpose of this position was to advance the company in pre-construction services, competitive bidding and project
development with an emphasis on Design Build. The outcome was advancement of sales from 3 million to 50 million dollar in
sales over an 8 year span. I have been involved in many turn-key projects from napkin to news-worthy; competitively bidding,
GMP, cost-plus, projects ranging from $500,000 to $15,000,000 throughout the tri-state area. These are just a few examples of
how expanding the estimating approach and compiling a special “TEAM” atmosphere with architects and owners can have a
unique professional outcome.

ESTIMATING MANAGER YEARS EMPLOYED: 8/1997 TO 11/2000

LTS Builders Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

This position initially involved the detailed building and maintenance of a computer database for the Timberline Precision
Estimating program. The next task was to train the estimating department in the use of this program to its fullest. Once this was
accomplished, I was assigned to re-estimate the companies 130 sales production line homes. The estimating department manager
was responsible for setting up the annual sales pricing books and options books for these same production homes. The manager
also reviewed salesman’s work-orders and the write-ups of house specifications for customers and loan institutions, as well as the
research and development of new products for custom homes. The ongoing challenge was in the development of the department
for the many new reports and study options of production. This program also connected for the first time, the accounting
department with the actual estimate to conclude an accurate variance quality control report. Our six-person department was turned
around in many aspects, one of which included an increase of estimating output from the department as a whole by over 50%, now
producing over 75 estimates a month along with up to 12 custom homes with upwards of 10000 sf.

OWNER YEARS: 6/1990 TO 8/1997

WATSONS HOME IMPROVEMENTS, LLC Whitehall, Pennsylvania

The primary business was instituted as a Carpenter/General Contractor to do installations of home improvement items for Sears,
Builders’ Square and Hechinger’s. Performing site inspections prior to detailed estimates on materials and labor was paramount in
initiating the purchase/set-up of all products to be purchased. As the business owner, keeping to a schedule for installations,
assuring supplies, and keeping track of all the business bookkeeping was a typical day. By building the business into a competitive
contracting company, the business expanded from decks, patios, and window & door installations, to complete home additions and
elaborate kitchen and bathroom designs. The next step in expanding the business was the addition of insurance work for State
Farm, Ohio Casualty, which included fire, water and storm damage. This new branch of the business warranted the investment of
a computer for the purpose of building an Excel/Lotus spreadsheet for estimating in accordance with the insurance company
standards for estimates and billing guidelines.
