Fan Power Calculator

This document contains an Excel workbook for calculating baseline and proposed fan power allowances for building energy models according to Princeton University's energy guidelines. The workbook includes tabs for calculating fan power for different HVAC system types and allows input of system-level data like fan horsepower, airflow rates, and pressure drops to determine baseline and proposed fan power usage. Motor efficiencies are provided in a separate data table for making efficiency calculations.

Princeton University Energy Guidelines - Fan Power Calculator (Appendix 3.

3-15)
This Excel workbook should be used to calculate baseline fan power allowances for Appendix G energy models.
The proposed design fan power should also be entered. This is the sum of supply, return, and exhaust fans that are greater than 1 HP.
