David Bailey

born - January 2nd 1938

David Bailey is a fashion and portrait photographer. In 1959 he became a


photographic assistant, for the john french studio, and then in 1960 he became a
photographer for John Coles studio five, before eventually signing a contract to be a
fashion photographer for vogue magazine. David Bailey also took on a large amount
of freelance work and is regarded as one of the greatest British photographers.

Linda McCartney
photographer

1941 - 1998

Linda McCartney was married to former Beatle Paul McCartney, which gave her the
opportunity to meet other famous music artist and be able to photograph them.
Some of the people that Linda McCartney photographed are Aretha Franklin, The
Rolling Stones, John Lennon, The Animals, and Eric Clapton (whos picture was
published in rolling stone and became the first women photographer to have a
photograph featured on the front cover).

Andy Warhol
graphic designer, artist, photographer

1928 - 1987

Andy Warhol was most famous for his pop art during the visual arts movement, he aimed
to explore a relationship between celebrity culture, artistic expression and advertisement,
which became hugely successful in the 1960s, creating Warhols rise to fame. andy warhol
used many styles of media in his art such as photography, painting, drawing, and even
computer generated art, plus much more. Andy Warhols art is highly sought after and
highly collectable, with one of his paintings selling for $105 million.

David Carson

1954 - present day

David Carson is extremely well known for his experimental typography and innovation
when it comes to magazine design. In 1995 carson founded his own studio which then
began to attract major clients from all over America. One of Carson's magazine covers
was nominated as one of the top 40 magazine covers of all time. since then carson
has closed his studio and currently works to create posters and other forms of
publicity for harvard graduate school of design.

Jann Wenner

Jann Wenner is the co-founder of rolling stone magazine and owner of us weekly and
mens journal. He founded rolling stone magazine in 1967, where he borrowed $7500 from
family to start it. rolling stone magazine has been a huge success and is one of the big
players in the media industry, widely renowned for its articles on music, life, culture, style,
and politics.

Quincy Jones

1933 - present day

Quincy Jones was the founder of vibe magazine which mostly features R & B and hip-hop
artists, entertainers, and actors. Vibe shut down production in 2009, and then was
purchased by InterMedia Partners and issued semi monthly.
Quincy jones is still in the media industry, all in all he is a magazine founder, entertainment
company executive, musician, film and tv producer the list goes on.
