This document is intended to provide installation guidelines and requirements of Bentley Systems
Design and Engineering Collaboration environment known as ProjectWise V8i.

ProjectWise is an engineering project team collaboration system which is used to help teams improve quality, reduce
rework, and meet project deadlines. Benefits include:
Click the INSTALL button to continue with the installation and FINISH when it is all complete
Verify that the Custom radio button is selected and then click the Next button to continue.
By default Bentley includes the Desktop Integration component for ProjectWise Explorer. Please note that this component
for use with CMTs ProjectWise environment is optional and you choose to install component or not as needed. If you
change your mind you can modify your installation of this component from the Programs applet in the control panel at any
time.
Click the Next button to continue.
Click the INSTALL button to continue with the installation and FINISH when it is all complete
On the GENERAL tab place a check box in the Prevent UDP for DNS and Listing and press Apply.
(This setting is optional but recommended as it will reduce the amount of broadcast data packets)
From the DNS Services Tab and enter the Server Name (cmtpwgate); Hostname (cmtpwgate.cmtengr.com) and leave the
Port information empty as shown in the screen shot below. Next click the Add button.
From the Datasource Listing Tab and enter the Server Name (cmtpwgate); Hostname (cmtpwgate.cmtengr.com) and leave
the Port information empty as shown in the screen shot below. Next click the Add button.
After the ProjectWise Application opens verify that the CMT Projects.
If this is the first time you have logged into the ProjectWise datasource you will receive the following prompt.
Click OK to continue.
You will then be able to browse the ProjectWise Datasource as displayed in the example below.
