The Time Complex. Postcontemporary

The document discusses how time itself has changed and is no longer linear, with the future now structuring and arriving before the present. This is due to the complexity of modern social systems and networks surpassing human experience and agency. Examples provided of this "speculative time-complex" include preemptive strikes, preemptive policing, and preemptive personality profiles, where the future shapes current actions. The present is also characterized as "post-" everything, indicating it is disconnected from yet related to past conditions. The speculative nature of the present means it is constituted more by the future than deduced from the past. The discussion seeks philosophical concepts to understand this post-contemporary condition where time comes from the future rather
