The new HM266 is 24kg heavier, is significantly more powerful and is also an impressive 10dB quieter than the
previous model.
The new breaker is slimmer than its predecessor and therefore will be able to work in more confined spaces; the
dimensions of the new breaker also leads to improved stowage whilst travelling between jobs.
The weights specified in the table below do not include a hanger bracket or hoses.

Serviceability and Tools


The new breaker is supplied complete with everything you need to go to work, hoses, hanger bracket, moil, chisel
and grease gun. The new breaker remains quick hitch compatible, and does not lose any of the features of the
previous unit.
The increased oil flow range and better tolerance to back pressure on the new breaker also makes it compatible with
a wider array of carrier machines.
The new floating bottom bush is easier to remove. This unit also retains the twin oval tool retaining pins which
increase contact area with the tool.
The breaker should be greased using JCB approved hammer greases; damage to the breaker can be caused by
using standard machine grease. JCB Special Hammer Grease is recommended for use with small to medium
breakers, however if the machine is working long hours or in a wet environment JCB Extreme Performance
Hammer Grease provides extra Durability.
The HM266 hanger bracket is not compatible with the older HM265 unit due to the slimmer body of the HM266.
The replacement tools are the same as for the HM265, the table below advises their respective part numbers.
