Pengaya: Save As PDF

This add-on allows users to easily save web pages as PDF documents. It places a button on the toolbar that saves the current page when clicked. It uses an online service called Pdfcrowd to convert HTML to PDF. The add-on works out of the box but a paid account allows customizing PDF settings. While it works well in Google Chrome, some users report images overlapping text in Firefox. The online conversion raises privacy concerns for some.

This add-on lets y ou easily sav e web pages to pdf. It places a button on y our toolbar -- just click it to sav e the current
page as a pdf. It uses Pdfcrowd html to pdf online serv ice.
If the button is not placed on the toolbar automatically , please follow these steps:
1 . Right click the toolbar.

2. Select Customize at the bottom of the popup menu.


3. Scroll down and drag the Sav e as PDF button to the toolbar.

The add-on works right out of the box using the default settings. If y ou want to customize the pdf y ou can sign up for
a paid account at Pdfcrowd. The av ailable options include page size, page orientation, margins, password protection,
initial v iew, etc.

The toolbar button is updated after each conv ersion:
- A red rectangle indicates an error. Hov er y our mouse ov er the button and a tooltip will display the error message.
- A little red dot indicates that y ou are not logged in at Pdfcrowd, hence the default settings were used.

Bad in Firefox but Good in Google Chrome

Hav e tried this addon in Firefox and the Flash images and other background images ov erlap and cov ers the tex t that
y ou wish to sav e.
Howev er, if in case it has not worked in Firefox , then cut paste and go the same link in Google Chrome, and where this
addon can be installed, y ou can sav e the PDF the way it is seen on y our screen.
Suffice to say , Ok to Bad as far as Firefox is concerned, but Good enough in Google Chrome.

Can not use something like this, that would upload my v iewed page to some commercial and therefore highly
untrustworthy online serv ice.
Too bad.
