Entrepreneurship is among the priority areas for Indian Government with various
schemes launched to facilitate entrepreneurs leading Indias economic revival. Innovation
and new businesses have emerged as the two key requirements of nation building in the
new century with the big challenges being in the area of technology, managing of finances
and government machinery. SPSU has already taken a lead role in promoting the spirit of
entrepreneurship among its students by providing necessary support and assistance in
the form of SPSU Business Incubation facility, which is sponsored by Ministry of MSME,
Govt. of India.
Conference Objectives
The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for academicians, young
entrepreneurs, practitioners, as well as industry professionals to present their thoughts and research
results on Entrepreneurial Thinking and its related fields. The conference will host various eminent
speakers and entrepreneurs who will be happy to exchange new ideas and practical experiences of
their entrepreneurial journey with the audience. Apart from the invited talks, conference will also
host research based paper presentations.
Focus Areas
1. Understanding of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process.
2. Assessing the feasibility of new business concepts and ideas.
3. Skill sets required in new business venture management including opportunity recognition,
market assessment, and financial planning.
4. Identifying resources needed to grow a new venture business.
5. Exit strategies for new business ventures
6. Business plans for development and financing of new business ventures.

CALL FOR PAPERS


Original contributions from researchers/practitioners are invited on topics related to
entrepreneurship and not just restricted to the issues outlined in the theme paper. The authors are
requested to submit full manuscripts in English, describing their original, unpublished, research
work which is not currently under review by another conference or journal. The submitted papers
will be subject to blind review and plagiarism scan for technical merit and content. Authors are
required to follow APA style of referencing in their manuscripts.
Papers can be mailed with abstract to conference_som@spsu.ac.in
Selected papers will be published in the yearly journal of School of Management The
Essence-Journal of Management Science and Research. The last date for submission of full
paper and abstract is 30th September 2016.
