Task Three: Focus on language

1. Leonardo talks about making the community a better place to live in. In each part of the test
it is helpful to be able to make comparisons. Complete the following sentences with an
appropriate comparative phrase.

2. Inmi tries to say that voluntary work can be very fulfilling. Adjectives of emotions and
feelings usually have two forms, e.g. relaxing, relaxed. Complete the following sentences
with the correct form of the adjective.

Task Four: Game Making Comparisons

In pairs, look back at the list of tasks for helping in the house in Worksheet 5 Task Five,
Activity 2. Choose two of these tasks and then write five sentences making comparisons
between them. Your teacher will tell you what to do.
