Earthquake Analysis

This document analyzes the seismic forces on a non-building structure in the Philippines using the National Building Code of the Philippines, 2010. It summarizes the total weight of the structure by level, identifies the seismic importance factor, source type, near source factor, zone factor, soil profile type, and resulting seismic coefficients. It then calculates the structure period using the specified equation and values.

National Building Code of the Philippines, 2010

Sec. 208.1.3 Weight, W

The weight, W for non-building shall include all dead loads as defined for building in Section 208.6.1.
For the purpose of calculating design in seismic forces in non-building structures, W shall also include
all normal operating contents for items such as tank, vessels, bins and piping.
