Control Measure

Lifting Operations by mobile crane,

1.1 Barricade the loading and unloading area with warning signage.

Tower crane, Crawler mobile crane,

1.2 Trained and certified flagman must control all heavy vehicle movements

loader

and reversing.
1.3 All employees working in unloading area should be kept away
during the time of unloading Boom truck(Hiab)&Telescopic materials.
1.4 Ensure loose structures are secured properly.
1.5 Ensure soil heap on slope position.
1.6 Do not stand/stay under the suspended loads.
1.7 Use third party certified, color coded and inspected lifting gears and
equipment.
1.8 Tool box talks and JHA briefing must be conducted prior to start lifting
activity to ensure all personnel are aware of the lifting operations.
1.9 Task must be suspended in adverse weather conditions. (Wind speed
more than 9.6 m/s).
1.10 Supervisor to pre assess the lifting radius for any simultaneous lifting
operation
1.11 Supervisors to coordinate with other terms who perform simultaneous
operation prior to start the operation.
1.12 Use licensed and third party certified operators and rigger.
1.13 Never exceeded permitted work load.
1.14 Hook to be regularly inspected and well maintained.

2.Placing of precasted concrete slab by lifting


(By using mobile crane/crawler crane/tower crane.

1.1 Supervisor/Rigger must be stop work and report any condition or


situation that could affect the safe conduct of the lifting operation being
undertaken.
1.2 For common lifts, a common lift plan shall be produced.(Less than
15 Ton and not exceeding the 75% net capacity of the crane)
1.3 The common lifting plan shall be used each time the common lifting is
carried out.
1.4 Never use by pass unless emergency in the presence of
supervisor(For closing booms/checking anti two block/limit switch
working status).
