STG 16 NEW ACTUATOR

DESCRIPTION:
The STG16 actuator range is used extensively in diesel and gas engine power generation and marine propulsion
engine applications.
The Actuator replaces most Hydraulic actuators such as the Woodward UG8 range. The base of the actuator can
have an optional fitting that will allow the output shaft to be in an identical position to that of the Woodward unit.
This is called the UG8 Base Adaptor Plate.
Fitting of the actuator can be in any position or attitude relative to the engine fuel linkage and has the advantage of
being able to be mounted away from engine vibration high spots such as the conventional mechanical drive gear
train and shaft.
Another major advantage is that the actuator drives in both directions at full rated torque and has a closed loop positional drive allowing high torque to overcome linkage friction over the range 0100%..
The high torque comes with the advantage of low actuating running current. On Perkins 4012 and 4016 diesel
engines, the running current is normally no more than 2 amperes at steady state rated speed.

OVERHAUL SERVICE OFFERED


Governor Technical Solutions offers a comprehensive actuator overhaul service for all Heinzmann actuator
ranges and can also offer an actuator exchange service for units requiring to be overhauled.
The overhaul service is based on a 48 hour turnaround from receipt of the customers actuator and confirmation
in writing of the overhaul quotation . An express 24 hour service is also available including weekend working.
All parts replaced are genuine, to the original manufacturers specification and come with a 12 month warranty.
Extended warranty is also available on request. However this does depend upon the diesel or gas engines
duty.
STG16-01 range actuators fitted to the Perkins 4000, MAN and Deutz gas and diesel engines are readily
available from a comprehensive new or service exchange stock in the UK.
