MUSIC QUIZZ
CHAIR: JOHN MANKS
AV: DAVID LEA
CASH DESK: LYNDA DOUTCH & JOHN BEATY
HOST: MIKE HEDE
I hope everyone has had a good break from Rotary and enjoyed the holiday season. Due to a number of factors it was a
longer break than usual. But now we are back!
The meeting this coming week will be our first regular meeting
since our Christmas Party on the 15 December. But to ease
you all back into things the meeting will take the form of a musical quiz, similar to the very successful event we ran early last
year. Greg Every will again be the quizmaster ably assisted by
Rewa Jones and Adrian Culshaw with Ken Mirams again the
compere. Anyone who came along last year will know that this
will be a fun night so I suggest you book yourself and your
partner in early.

Elsewhere in this edition of In Gear is an invitation to join Brighton North Rotary at their meeting on 1 March to hear
Gemma Sisia speak. As many of you would know from presentations made previously at District conferences, Gemma is the founder and driving force behind St Judes school in Tanzania. Hers is a remarkable story and I would encourage anyone who has not heard her speak to go along on.
Finally, a reminder that the District Conference is coming soon. Please make Trish Smyths life a little easier and advise her when you have registered and of your accommodation requirements in Geelong. Remember also to advise
her if you intend playing golf at the Not the District Golf Day on the preceding Thursday. Trish needs to finalise the
details very soon.
Yours in Rotary
Malcolm

GUIDING LIGHT

Soft morning sunlight,
which has managed to
penetrate the thick mist
over the Mont Blanc summit, serves as a guiding
light for two climbers. The
Mont Blanc massif straddles the border of France
and Italy. At about 4800
metres, its summit is the
highest peak in the Alps.
