Tuition Assistance Approval for Education Center Staff

Purpose of the Course Course will train Education Center staff members on the guidelines for
military tuition assistance approval.

Audience Description The intended audience for the course is employees of the Education Center
whose duties include reviewing and approving military tuition assistance
requests.

Major Course Given a randomly selected Guard/Reserve service members


Objectives (Terminal) education record in AFAEMS, students will be able to determine (by

will analyze degree plan and record to determine (by stating
verbally) whether the degree plan reflects the review of all possible
transfer credits and will, if necessary, annotate record appropriately.
o Comprehend variety of degree plans
o Recognize application/review of transfer credits
o Change status of education goal

Given a randomly selected education record in AFAEMS, students


will, if necessary, adjust education goal credit amounts to ensure
Needed, Completed, and Remaining are 100% accurate.

students will determine (by stating verbally) whether request should
be approved or deferred.

Objective

Learning Assessment Learners will be expected to participate in guided analysis and active

proceed forward/backward through the course. Location Indicator will
allow learners to know the duration the current screen. A Menu will also
serve as a Location Indicator, letting learners know their overall position in
the RLO.
