Introduction:

There are many different ideas taught concerning the future of our world. Some Christians

believe that the second coming of Christ will initiate a Golden Age for humankind on eartha

time during which everyone will be converted and peace will prevail. Others believe that the

1,000-year period will be a time of distress and hardship, of conflict and chaos. i
Do you have the interest to know what this millennium is? Come lets take this course and see

what the Bible says

Body:

The word millennium in Latin simply means 1,000 years.


Revelation 20: 4 The beginning period of this 1,000 years is at the resurrection of the siants.

The saints of God will reign with Christ for thousand years.
John 5: 28, 29 Two resurrections resurrection of life, and resurrection of damnation.
Revelation 20: 4 6 This thousand years begins with the first resurrection. Only the

righteous take part in this resurrection. The wicked will be saved for the resurrection of

damnation/the second resurrection.


So, this 1,000 years begins with the resurrection of the saints and ends with the resurrection of

the wicked. Lets dig more


When will the righteous saints resurrect?
o 1 Thessalonians 4: 16, 17 Saints will resurrect

o Revelation 1: 7 When Jesus comes, every eye will see him.

The word for bottomless pit in the original Greek is abussos, or abyss. That

same work is used in the Greek version of the Old Testament in Genesis 1: 2 in

connection with the creation of the earth, but there it is translated deep.
The earth was void and without form. Once again the earth will be void and

without form as a result of the most devastating earthquake and hailstorm which

we read. During these thousand years Satan will be shut up in darkness. Isaiah

24: 22 also talks about this event.


The chains represents the chain of darkness. Satan will be bound because theres

no one he can deceive.


This is the beginning of the 1,000 years.
What happens during the 1,000 years?
o Revelation 20: 4 6 The saints of God will reign with Christ.
o Romans 8: 17 We shall be join-heirs with Christ.
o Who will we be judging?
o 1 Corinthians 6: 3 we will judging Satan and his angels in heaven for thousand years

in heaven.
o During this time, Satan and his angels will be bound and the earth will be desolate. The

wicked are all dead.


This is what happens during the 1,000 years.
What happens at the end of the 1,000 years?
o Revelation 20: 5, 7 8 The wicked will resurrect and this is the second resurrection.

Satan will be loosed and will go out to deceive the nations. He seeks to gather people

again to battle against God.


o Revelation 20: 12 Retributive judgment takes place.
o Revelation 20: 15 Those whose names were not found in the book of life were cast into

lake of fire.
o Revelation 20: 9 10 Devil and his Angels will be thrown into the lake of fire.
o Revelation 21: 5, 3 At the same time, God creates new earth and new heaven. God

dwells with men. Man will be restored back to his Edens state where everything will be

perfect.
Nahum 1: 9 Affliction will not rise the second time.
2 Peter 3: 13 In new heavens and new earth dwells righteousness.
Isnt it exciting?!
Isaiah 66: 22 23 all flesh shall worship God.
Revelation 21: 4 God will wipe every tear. No sorrow, nor crying, neither shall be any more

pain. Isnt it what youre looking for?

Conclusion:

Appeal Standing Do you want to be with the Lord for ever and ever in that new earth? Do

you want to be in that everlasting kingdom of God where there is no pain, no sorrow and where

will live our life serving God?
