Cross-Coupled Filter Synthesis

This document discusses the design of cross-coupled filters using the CoupleFil software. It describes the design flow which includes specifying the filter, approximating the desired response with polynomials, synthesizing the coupling matrix, and transforming the matrix to the desired topology. The synthesis section shows how to construct the admittance matrix and coupling matrix from the polynomials. The demo section shows a 10-pole filter example with its coupling matrix. The conclusion notes that cross-coupling improves performance and the direct synthesis approach leads to accurate results.
