COMMERCE

DEFINITION:
Commerce is a branch of business. It is concerned with the distribution
(does not deal with making/production but providing services) It
includes all activities, which directly or indirectly facilitate the exchange
of goods and services.
o Commerce is trade and aids to trade
o It aims at the distribution of goods and service in order to satisfy
Human needs and wants

Commerce tries to satisfy increasing human needs
Helps to increase the standard of living
Makes possible link between Producers and Consumers
Creates employment opportunities
