Preface
I am Pleased to present the project Report on Company
Profile of Siyarams before my respected readers. It is a
humble attempt from my part to judge the Profile of
Siyarams.
This study deals with a number of topics that will help the
reader understand and learn about company.
The research starts with a short introduction, history of
Siyaram, followed by the line of objectives and research
methodology.
Next chapter deals with assigned company profile
followed by the data analysis and interpretation that is
based on the questionnaire.
Then comes the conclusions, suggestions and limitations
of the research reports.
Language of reports is simple lucid. Attempts have been
made to arrange the subject matter in a systematic and
well-knite style. Efforts have also been made to deal with
all topics precisely and gently.

from 'Jainson' & 'Essen'.

Siyaram Electricals was instituted by Shri S.D. Mittal in the year 1989. In two
decades, the firm has achieved tremendous height in the name & fame. Today
the firm is premier trading company of Electrical Goods in Delhi & North India.
The firm is registered member of DETA (Delhi Electrical Trader Association)
since its inception, and is situated in the heart of the Asia's biggest electrical
market 'Bhagirath Palace' in Delhi.

HISTORY
The Company manufactures synthetic fibers. The Company was incorporated
on 29th June,1978 as a Private Limited Company and was converted into a
Public Limited Company on 16th April 1980. It was promoted by Mahabir
Prasad Poddar, Dhara Prasad Poddar and Purushottamdas S.Mahasaria. The
Company commenced manufacturing activities in November, 1978. Siyaram
Finance Limited is a subsidiary of the company.

2000 Oxemberg, the readymade garment division of Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd,
the flagship company, Siyaram Poddar group, has set up a research and
development laboratory equipped with state-of-art technology and imported
machinery.
The Board has approved the issue of 11,20,368 No. of equity shares at Rs 49
per share aggregating Rs 5.48 crore on preferential allotment basis to the
promoters, their relatives, friends and their group as per the SEBI guidelines
and subject to the approval of members.
2001 The Company has opened 216 fashion galleries in the Telangana region
of Andhra Pradesh.
2006-Siyaram Silk Mills has given the Bonus in the Ratio of 1:2
2009- Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of
the Company at its meeting held on January 30, 2009, inter alia, has
appointed Shri. Dileep H Shinde and Shri. Pramod Jalan as Additional
Directors of the Company in the capacity of Non Executive and Independent
Directors.
2010-The Company has declared Interim Dividend of Rs. 6/- per share on the
Equity shares of Rs. 10/- each (face value ) for the financial year 2009-10.
2011-Company has achieved Rs.100 crore turnover in FY 2010-11.
2012- Remuneration Committee have re-appointed Shri Ashok Jalan as Senior

and readymade garments. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 (fiscal
2010), the Company had installed 71 looms and plants at Tarapur and
Silvassa; and production of 531.26 meters cloth, 25.13 kilograms yarn and
17.46 numbers of readymade garments. As of March 31, 2010, the Company
had installed capacity of 479 looms, 645 stitching machines and 6000 yarn
dyeing capacity. The Company had 40,000 outlets in India. The Companys
yarn products include space dyed yarns, heavy denier multi colour fancy
yarns, embroidery and selvedge yarns, fancy dyed knitting yarns and
microfilament dyed yarn. The Company operates in brands such as Siyaram, J

The Company was incorporated on June 29, 1978 as a private limited
company and was converted into a public limited company on April 16, 1980.
It was promoted by Mahabir Prasad Poddar, Dhara Prasad Poddar and

Yarn It has a production capacity of 700 metric tons of yarn per month
in a wide range of compositions ranging from polyester, cotton, viscose, wool
and linen. It produces dyed yarns such as space dyed yarns, heavy denier
multi colour fancy yarns, embroidery and selvedge yarns, fancy dyed knitting

Fabrics The Company is acknowledged for the production of the largest

Siyaram to set up high-tech garment unit in Daman

Siyaram Silk Mills is coming up with a Rs 20-crore high-tech garment unit for
its new ready-to-wear (RTW) sub-brand called Siyaram's MSD (Monday to
Sunday Dressing) at Union Territory of Daman.
The company, a part of the Rs 1,000-crore Siyaram Poddar group, is likely to
commence manufacturing from January-2007 at Daman. The high-tech unit is
equipped with modern machinery coupled and has a battery of designers as
well as a state-of-the-art research and development centre for designing
readymade garments and accessories for men.

Sources said the garment unit at Daman is exclusively set-up for the Siyaram's
MSD sub-brand. The company has roped in cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni to
endorse both Siyaram's and MSD, which would be sold from the strong retail
chain of about 30,000 outlets across the country.
"The Siyaram MSD brand has ambitious plans to become the largest ready-to-
wear men's brand within the next five years and that an aggressive marketing
plan has been put in place to achieve the same," says Ramesh Poddar,
managing director, Siyaram's.
According to Mr Poddar, the company is foraying into overseas retailing of its
brand by April-2007. Middle East would be the first destination in the overseas
market. The company is planning to set up five retail store of garments and
fabrics and then spread its wings in other countries too. The luxury suitings
major is also looking at the technical textiles market.
The company is projecting its net turnover at around Rs 500 crore. This reflects
a growth target of approximately 23.76% in 2007. Some of the popular brands
from the Siyaram Silk Mills stable are J Hampstead, Mistair, Oxemberg, apart
from Siyaram's.

Siyarams garment unit in Mumbai

In a paradigm shift to expand its retail footprint, Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd has
embarked upon an expansion spree by inking 27 franchise agreements in the
first two months of current fiscal out of targeted 90 for 2013-14.

The successful response from the trade fraternity has encouraged the textiles
firm to take its proposed franchise tally to 500 outlets by 2016-17, a Siyaram
Silk release said.

Unlike food or health retail franchise, apparel retailing is not perishable and
the logistics does not hamper the product quality. Hence, apparel or textile
franchise has higher return on investment with low repayment time compared
to other franchise segments, Megha Poddar, Director, Siyaram Silk Mills said
here.

The expansion is expected to drive the companys high margin revenues from
this segment to Rs. 60 crore annually in 2013-14 from the level of Rs. 35 crore
last year, she said.

On an average the franchisee has to invest Rs. 25 lakh for interior works as
well as for inventory with minimum space requirement being 800 sq ft.
Moreover, we see a lot of interest in our franchisee model with budding
entrepreneurs willing to invest Rs. 25-50 lakh in our value enhancing retail
model, Poddar said.

As part of the retail expansion, the company is also in the process of revamping
and redesigning its outlets. While the renewed focus is on franchisee
framework, the company will continue with its conventional model of agent,
distributor down to multi-brand outlet (MBO) model for disseminating its
product portfolio, she said.

There is a general trend in the market towards shifting from multi-brand

outlets to exclusive brand stores, Poddar said.

Currently, Siyaram Silk has 2,00,000 MBOs across the country. They are
serviced through the conventional model of agents,
distributors, wholesaler and retailer MBO and will continue to function in the
same fashion, she said.

Siyaram Silk Mills is Indias largest producer of blended high fashion suiting,
shirting and apparels.

(hand, machine & computer), appliqus, embellishments (Appliqu, Beading,

materials, salwar kameez, feather touch dress materials, and vintage dress
materials and are manufactured using high quality material for color fastness
tear strength. Easy to wash and shrinkage resistant. WE ARE SPECIALIST IN
MANUFACTURING OF UNSTICHED COTTON DRESS SUITS WHICH CONSISTS
OF THREE PIECES i.e. TOP, BOTTOM, DUPPATA (CHUNI) . The cotton material
which we are using to manufacture is of very fine quality as well as we provides
the guarantee of color and cloth in our suit material.

in JETPUR TO 7 Unit. The entire SIYARAM team is very much thankful to our

future. Siyaram, a part of the Rs.1250 cr. well diversified Siyaram Poddar
Group, is the one of the largest producer of fancy blended suitings and
shirtings in India producing 3.00 cr. meters annually and is reputed to bring

class processing-cum-finishing plant at Tarapur is one of the latest and most
modern plants in the country equipped with machineries imported from
Japan , Italy , U.K. , Germany and Switzerland etc. This is the only plant in
India which can process various blends like polyester-viscose, poly-wool,
polyester-cotton, 100% cotton and 100% polyester, under one roof.

Siyaram is the first company to introduce Relaxed Finishing System RF 2000

in India .

In the year 1995 Siyarams had tied up with J.HAMPSTEAD, England for
marketing of a very fine premium wool suitings in India . These suitings are
woven from the exclusive and rich natural fibres merino wool, cashmere,
kidmohairwool and wool silk. Looking to the increasing demand for the wool
blended suitings, Siyarams has started m anu facturing of finest wool blended
suitings under J.HAMPSTEAD brand using fine micron merino wool imported
from Australia and super fine polyester with technical assistance from
J.Hampstead.

Siyarams has just launched worlds all-in-one fabric `FEATHERZ. `Featherz

is created from speciality yarns made of superior micro fine fibres. This suiting
is available in varied premium blends of Cotton, Flex, Poly/Visc, Linen Lycra
etc.

MISTAIR an established brand is also from the house of Siyarams. Mistair is

highly popular today among young generation because it keeps introducing
innovative and fashionable suitings from time to time. The sub brands
introduced by Mistair are Luxuria, M-brace, Envogue, Lords & Kings,
Breathers & Hi-flier.

The advertising campaigns of the company have effectively built a positive

image placing all its brands - SIYARAMS, MISTAIR, J.HAMPSTEAD,

It is very difficult to collect information from every member of a population.
As time and costs are major limitation that the researcher faces.
A sample of 20 was taken the sample size of 20 individuals were
selected in the random manner to from sample and data were collected
from them for the research study.

ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION:

Data collection through questionnaire and

personal interview in availability of the desired information but these were
useless until there were analyzed various steps required for this purpose
were edition, coding and tabulating. Tabulating refers to bringing together
similar data and compiling them in an accurate and meaningful manner.
The data collected by questionnaire was analyzed interpreted with help of
bar chart.
