Hvac Formula - Calculation of Heating, Cooling Degree Days

The document discusses the calculation of heating and cooling degree days, which are used to estimate annual heating and cooling loads. Heating degree days are calculated by subtracting the daily average outdoor temperature from a balance point temperature, while cooling degree days are calculated by subtracting the balance point from the average. Formulas are provided to estimate annual heating and cooling loads based on peak loads, degree days, and temperature differences.
