story To make a hat for presentation your hand up if youre a princess or a prince. Hand out the crown Worksheet 9.1

Costume (Two crown templates per child to be stapled together to fit each childs template
making head size.) Worksheet 9.2
Say take your scissors and cut out your pea hat or crown. Peas Crown
may want to attach pipe cleaners to mirror frozen peas in storybook & template
draw faces. Cut out the two strips & attach to the pea shape once they
are decorated then staple to fit each childs head size.
Say take your coloured pencils and draw a face on your pea hat or
decorate your crown.
Set a time limit & circulate & help as necessary stapling hats to fit each
childs head size.
Say lets sing the pea song. Sing 10 little pea song. Say Now lets
sing the pea processing song. Sing pea processing song & practise
new expressions from previous session as they are cutting & decorating,
for extra practice.
Dress To rehearse play with costumes Run through play in costume working on costumes 15 mins
Rehearsal & incorporate the shop gestures/accuracy/pronunciation especially new expressions from
dialogue into the presentation. previous session.
Incorporate the shop dialogue after Mummy and Daddy buy the peas.
Children turn to face a partner. Allocate roles of shopkeeper & customer.
Practise saying together:
Customers: Can I have some peas, please
Shopkeepers: Fresh, frozen or tinned?
Customers: ( Decide as a class which type of peas you are all going to
buy)
Shopkeepers: Here you are

Children then turn to face the front again in a line & continue to tell the
story.
Encourage active participation of all children.
Review To revise/consolidate all Elicit( in L1 if necessary) everything they have learned about peas: 10 mins
vocabulary learnt & facts encourage all vocabulary learnt from growth cycle, processing , shop,
already learnt about peas diversity activity, etc.
