Use
CR60 gauge head is intended for plain outer diameters measurement.
Its principal use is with grinding machines for in-process gauging in series production of workpieces.

In certain cases, it is also possible to measure interrupted diameters where the discontinuities/ or where the
measurement may be made on a plain part of the diameter.

CR60 head may also be used separately on measuring stand either for workpiece checking with purely dimensional
rear-out or for part feed or tool feed control of machine tools using information from measurement of a machined
workpiece (post-process control)

Design
When used on grinding machines, the CR60 gauge head is often complemented by hydraulic gauge arms
engagement/ disengagement feature. The gauge head incorporates a sprinkler may be connected to the coolant
liquid normally used for the machine. This is to be used when the repeatability of the ground workpieces must
be smaller than 0.8 m. The coolant keeps the principal parts used for dimensional transmission (4 parallelogram
springs and 2 gauge arms) at the same temperature as that surrounding the workpiece during machining.
