Dr. Anand Sawroop Khanna hails from Delhi. in 1974 he completed a training of one year at BARC, He was
posted as a Research Scientist in Fast Breeder Test Reactor Project in Tamilnadu. A doctorate in Metallurgy

with special interest in Corrosion Science & Engineering, He have guided more than 10 students for Ph.D an
d 75 for Master Degree. He did several International and National Projects and carried out several consultat
ion projects worth more than Rs. 3 crore for important companies such as ONGC, GAIL, HPCL, L & T, Power
Plants, Cement Plants, Hindalco, CIDCO and for several paint Industries. He did his M.Sc. in chemistry from
Delhi University, and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur and Ph.D from Madras University. He have won several Intern
ational assignments such as Fellow of Humboldt Foundation, Germany, Fellow of Royal Norwegian Council
of Scientific & Industrial Research,Oslo, Visiting Professor in Japan and France and participated and present
ed technical papers in more than 50 international conferences in various countries. He has widely traveled,
covering almost all Europe, USA, China, Russia, and Australia. He is a technically sound person with more th
an 200 publications, one book and edited five books.

His work acclaimed several honors from International bodies such as ASM and NACE for which he won
fellow Awards. He won Mascot Award for the work in Industrial Corrosion, several Best paper awards.
Very recently won popular awards such as Vijayshree award and Best Citizen award. He also a good
organizer. He have organized several International Conferences on various topics on Corrosion and
Metallurgy, through ASM, NACE, SAEAST and SSPC India, which have been well appreciated for its high
technical content and super hospitality. He have been Chairman of several International Bodies, ASM
India Chapter, NACE Asia- Pacific Region, and presently Chairman of SSPC India.
He also a Rotary Member and Paul Harris Fellow. He also lead as President Rotary Club of Bombay, Powai I
2007-08. He also a President of Humboldt Academy Bombay and President Western Regional
Humboldt Academy.
