WORK EXPERIENCE
DEC 2016 JUNE 2017: SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER COMMODITIES/PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
WORLD VISION INTERNATIONAL SOMALIA, (FIXED TERM POSIITON).
Program Development Unit focusing primarily on the acquisition and management of food,
non-food (Gift In-Kind) and cash programming grants.
Collate, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure quality,
compliance, and donor satisfaction.
Led the management and strengthening of relationships with food assistance, GIK and cash
donors.
Capacity development of implementing partners to deliver quality/accountable programming.
Focal point for food assistance and cash-based programming initiatives with stakeholders,
ensuring consistent of information provision to internal and external forums; continuous
learning/improvement; and best-practice dissemination.
Triggered and took the lead in the capacity assessment for all potential GIK and food assistance
implementation partners;
Planned and led the start-up processes to ensure comprehensive hand-over of projects to
Project Managers and wider Project Teams;
Management of food assistance teams and ensuring adherence to business processes for food

Guaranteed the correct overall management of the assigned projects, management of budgets
and personnel, and ensures the realization of the activities of livelihoods programs in Somalia
and Kenya.
Technical lead for the livelihood component to IDP returnees and vulnerable Host Community
in villages of origin in Bay region and providing Cash for Work toHHs(households) supported
during Deyr season 2013 funded by UNHCR.

contributed to the formulation of new projects and the definition of UNHCR and INTERSOS
strategies to be adopted in the host country.

of accounting documents for interim and final financial reports required by donors.
