The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (DHTM) won the overall championship title for the fifth consecutive year at the annual University week sports competition in January 2016. DHTM dominated most events, winning major games like basketball, volleyball, and table tennis, as well as minor games such as badminton, table tennis singles, and track events. The Department of Business Education (Ukraine) finished first runner-up, while the Department of Arts and Sciences and Teacher Education (Cameroon) and Department of Nursing/Department of Information Technology placed second and third respectively.

SPORTS NEWS

DHTM remains undefeated thus reigning OVERALL CHAMPION for the


5th time.
VIVE LE FRANCE!, bagging almost all major and minor events, the Department of
Hospitality and Tourism Management were left to be undefeated for five years. Garnering
a score of 85% they were awarded as the Overall Champion in the annual University
week last January 27, 2016 at Pere Louis Chauvet Hall.
From 2011-2016, the Overall Champion title remained to DHTM. Accordingly, they
continued to showcase their skills in the various sports competition where it enhanced
their camaraderie, teamwork and sportsmanship. Five years of sustaining the title as
overall champion, five years of gathering certificates and trophies, five years of
perseverance, commitment and hard work that made them dominate most of the games.
Furthermore, the Department of Business Education (Ukraine) ranked first
Runner-Up, Department of Arts and Sciences and Teacher Education (Cameroon) and
the Department of Nursing/ Department of Information Technology placed second and
third runner-up respectively.
