Student Body Council: Constitution and By-Laws
Preamble
We, the Student Body Council of the Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, propose these Constitution
and By-laws that exclusively govern our action and the entire studentry of this school in accordance with
the policies or rules and regulations of the school administration. These Constitution and By-laws shall
serve as guiding principle to exercise political awareness and rights of the students and foster dynamic
relationship and cooperation among other student organizations inside and outside the campus. Therefore,
we do ordain and promulgate these laws as one of the media of our academic rights in the school.
Article 8
PENALTIES
Section 40. Any student who fails to attend in the activities of the school such as symposium, election,
intramural, parade, general meeting, orientation and other related activities shall be imposed with the
corresponding penalty of fifty pesos (Php 50.00). Unless valid reason such as sickness and other
emergency situation or important events occurred shall be presented by the student.
Section 41. Every absence of any of SBC officers on regular sessions, meetings, conferences and other
official activities shall be fined the amount of fifty pesos unless valid reason presented.
Section 42. Any officer committed faults by tampering, or falsifying any SBC official records shall be
disqualified from holding office.
Article 9
SCHOOL UNIFORM CODE
Section 43. The SBC officers shall be the model of wearing prescribed proper school uniform inside the
campus.
Section 44. All female students shall wear proper school uniform such as black and white veil,
identification card, black shoes (IBED AND JHS) with heel (SHS AND COLLEGE), dirty white three-
forth dress and dominant peach skirt. In free uniform on Sunday and weekend, all female students must
wear shoes and long sleeve dress so that their naked body (aurat) will be covered in accordance with
Islamic teachings.
Section 46. All male students shall wear proper school uniform such as identification card, black shoes,
black slacks (SHS and college), kacky for (IBED/JHS) and dirty white polo t-shirt. In free uniform on
Sunday and weekend, all male students must wear shoes and appropriate long denim or trouser of any
kind.
Section 47. Male students shall not act like a female by wearing any female dress, earrings, applying
female cosmetics and imitating female manner of walking and taking. The purpose of this is to prevent
the curse of Allah.
Section 48. No student shall be allowed to wear short pants, backless dresses and underwear while
attending classes or doing extracurricular activities. Only basketball, sepak takraw and truck and field
players are allowed to wear short pants, but they are obliged to wear long pants after the game and long
rest. The Physical Education or MAPEH uniform shall only be worn during activity. After activity, the
regular uniform shall be worn when attending classes other than PE and MAPEH classes.

Section 49. No student shall be allowed to take off his/her dress, veil, shoes and identification card inside
the campus.
Section 50. Any student who violates in any of this section hereof shall be penalized the amount of fifty
pesos to be collected by the SBC treasurer and be sent out from the school by the instructor or the teacher
from his/her class.
