ART CLASS EXPECTATIONS

CLASSROOM RULES
DO THE RIGHT THING
CARE ABOUT OTHERS
DO THE BEST YOU CAN

1. BEHAVIOR: The student will be given consequences fro the school handbook or
Mrs. Spurgeons policy id one or more of the following occur: hitting others, running,
chasing, jumping on others or furniture, profanity, excessive rudeness, and general
fooling around.
2. SUPPLIES: The student will not: throw any supplies, hit others with rulers, eat
any of the art supplies, put art materials on others, or use them for anything but
their intended use.
3. CLEAN UP: All students are responsible for cleaning up and putting away their
own supplies.
4. PREPARED FOR CLASS: The student is prepared for class if they have all
materials needed for your project, any assignments due that day, a pencil,
sketchbook, and technology device.
5. CLASS TIME: You are to spend the entire period on your art assignments or art
projects. Do not bring other class assignments to art class. You will not be allowed to
use art class as a study hall.
6. PASSES: Mrs. Spurgeon will only write passes for her class. No other teacher can
write a pass for students to come to the art room Passes will only be written for
students who are behind or in need of assistance. You are not to interrupt art class
to obtain a pass. You can only obtain a pass before school, during your class period,
or after school.
7. FOOD AND DRINKS: These items are not allowed in any classroom according to
the school handbook. Do not bring them for any reason. You are only permitted to
have water in a clear container.
8. DESTRUTION OF PROPERTY: The student will not intentionally break or
destroy other students artwork or school property.
9. TRESSPASSING: Do not ever get into Mrs. Spurgeons desk or personal property
for any reason. You are also not allowed I the locked cabinets, kiln area, outside the
back door, or in any of the wooden doors located on the north wall of the art room.
You are not allowed to tough or use Mrs. Spurgeons keys or computers.
10. TECHNOLGY DEVICES: See art class technology
(Remember that all school polices found in the student handbook are followed in
the art room at all times. These expectations are in addition to the rules in the
handbook>)
