MATH 241 Calculus IV (4) (Crosslisted As HNRS 241)

MATH 241 is a 4-unit calculus course covering partial derivatives, multiple integrals, and vector analysis. It requires a prerequisite of MATH 143. The course objectives are to learn partial differentiation and its applications, multiple integration and related concepts like volumes and surface areas, and vector fields and integral theorems. The content is estimated to require 30 lectures and will cover partial derivatives, multiple integrals, and vector integration topics from the Thomas' Calculus textbook. Students will be assessed through exams, quizzes, homework, and a final exam evaluating both computational skills and conceptual understanding.
