EXT. HIGH SCHOOLS FIELD - DAY

A group of students assembles in the playing field at their

high school. There is a commotion.

A crowd watches as two students fight with three other

students. They cheer as the fight goes on. The team of two
has the upper hand.

A teacher eventually comes to the scene and parts the fight.

TEACHER
What the hell is going on here?

INT. PRINCIPALS OFFICE

The five students that were involved in the fight are seated
in the principals office before Mr. Coleman. He is furious.

MR. COLEMAN
Why were you all fight?

The students remain silent. You could hear a pin drop.

MR. COLEMAN (CONTD)

Well?

They look at each other then back at Mr. Coleman.

MR. COLEMAN (CONTD)

Dont make me call your parents.

NATHAN
He made fun of me.

MR. COLEMAN
Who?

NATHAN
Tristan.

TRISTAN
Snitch.

NATHAN
Shut the hell up.

MR. COLEMAN
Hey! None of that in my office.

the first time you guys are
fighting over this shit.

MAX
Hey, I wasnt fighting. I wasnt
apart of this.

MR. COLEMAN
Thats not what the teacher said.

MAX
I was trying to break the fight.
But I got attacked so I had to
defend myself.

MR. COLEMAN

MAX

MR. COLEMAN

prince - Its principal to you or
Mr. Coleman.

MAX

NATHAN
Im tired of Tristan making fun of
me all the time.

TRISTAN
Im not blind. He is a bastard he
looks nothing like his parents.

MR. COLEMAN
That is none of your business,
youngster. Im sure Nathans
parents have legitimate documents
stating that they are the
biological parents.

MR. COLEMAN

MR. COLEMAN
Im phoning each one of your
parents because this has to stop.

Since I didnt technically start
the fight, can I be excluded?

MR. COLEMAN
All five of you are going to meet
with the guidance counselor this
week.

MAX
Come on.

MR. COLEMAN
Shut it. This will fix you all of
your anger management problem since
you all love fighting. And Nathan,
get over it, people will always
talk.

EXT. HIGH SCHOOL - LATER

Nathan and Max walk adjacent to the high school building in

the compound.

NATHAN
Thanks for helping me in that
fight.

MAX
No problem dude. Youre my bud, I
cant watch you get jumped like
that.

MAX
Those guys need to back off and hop
off your dick. Theyre always on
your case.

NATHAN

MAX
Morons.

NATHAN
I guess Ill see you at the
counselors office.

A girl walks up to them. They stop walking to talk to her.

I heard you guys got into a fight?
Are you two alright.

MAX
Could not have been better.

NATHAN
Yeah, were cool. It was nothing.

STACY
You need to be careful.

NATHAN

STACY

NATHAN

STACY

NATHAN

MAX
Later.

Stacy walks away as Nathan and Max watch her from behind.
They continue walking on.

MAX (CONTD)

NATHAN

INT. MR. CARTERS HOUSE - AFTERNOON

Nathan reaches home from school. He enters his home. He is

alone.

INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS

He walks into the kitchen and sees a pizza box on the

counter. He opens it revealing the slices of pizza.

NATHAN
Left over pizza.

He takes up a slice and warms it in the microwave.

INT. NATHANS ROOM - LATER

Nathan is in his room. He goes on his computer and logs onto

a social media called Facebook. Max messages him with his
user name Max-A-Million. The message reads, Good fight today
huh? Nathan chuckles and replies, Sure.

Max responds, My moms up my ass about it though.

NATHAN
Shit.

Max messages, Good luck with your dad. Nathan continues to

message other people.

Nathan messages a girl named Nicole who has been ignoring his
messages.

NATHAN (CONTD)
Come on.

She eventually responds, Would you stop messaging me? You

are so annoying.

Nathan responds, If you replied I wouldnt have to spam

you.

Nicole responds, Bye.

NATHAN (CONTD)
What a bitch.

INT. NATHAN'S ROOM - LATER

Nathan is still in his room. He is studying on his bed. His

father walks in.

MR. CARTER
Hey, son.

NATHAN
Hey, dad.

MR. CARTER
How was school today?

NATHAN
It was good.

Just good?

NATHAN
Yeah.

MR. CARTER
Did you get into any trouble?

NATHAN
... No, just everyday stuff.

MR. CARTER
Thats not what Mr. Coleman said.

NATHAN
He doesnt understand.

MR. CARTER

Mr. Carter walks over to Nathan and sits on the bed with him.

NATHAN
What Ive been through, with
bullies.

MR. CARTER
Whats wrong?

NATHAN
People keep calling me a bastard.

MR. CARTER
Nathan, I thought weve been
through this already.

NATHAN
We have, but they keep bringing it
back up.

MR. CARTER
It doesnt matter what they say.
You are my son. I am your father. I
take good care of you.

NATHAN
I know that.

Mr. Carter and Nathan hug.

NATHAN (CONTD)
It just hurts sometimes.

They stop hugging.

MR. CARTER (CONTD)

But bullies will always be bullies.
Thats what they do. They dont get
attention so they search for it.
Its for you to be strong and face
them. Not fight, but stand firm and
confident and they will stop.

NATHAN
You know I was just defending
myself, right?

MR. CARTER
I know, but next time just walk
away.

NATHAN
Ill try.

MR. CARTER
Youre a good kid. Now get back to
hitting those books.

NATHAN
Sure thing dad.

INT. LIVING ROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Mr. Carter walks into the living room and meets Mrs. Carter.

MRS. CARTER
Is he alright?

MR. CARTER
Yeah, hes fine. A little emotional
but hell be alright.

MRS. CARTER
What was it about?

MR. CARTER
You know, some old nonsense with
him and me.

MRS. CARTER
Oh.

Somethings never change. Thats how
kids are nowadays. Preying on the
weak.

INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

The students are in a classroom at the High School before the

teacher arrives. They are up and about, chatting and having
fun.

MAX
So how did it go last night?

NATHAN
My dad was cool about it. We talked
and worked it out.

MAX
Good.

NATHAN
What about your mom?

MAX
She threw a fit.

NATHAN
Haha.

MAX
Sometimes I think my dad fears her
like she wears the pants in the
house.

NATHAN
I bet.

MAX
Shes an amazon warrior.

Stacy walks into the classroom. Nathan and Max stare at her.
She goes to her seat. Tristan then walks towards Nathan.

TRISTAN
Hey, bastard.

MAX
This again? I cant do another
principal visit.
