Water resource engineering involves designing systems and equipment to manage water resources. It includes designing water treatment facilities, wells, and managing aquatic resources. Water resource engineers must consider budget, regulations, and other factors when designing systems to increase effectiveness and efficiency. They oversee construction and implementation of systems, and later manage maintenance. The course aims to equip students to identify and solve water resource problems, conduct research, introduce international water issues, and enable collaboration.

WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING - 1

1. that involves the design of new systems and equipment that help manage human water
resources. Some of the areas Water Resource Engineers touch on is water treatment
facilities, underground wells, and natural springs. Water Resource Engineers must create
new equipment and systems to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of water
treatment and aquatic resource management. A Water Resource Engineer must take
budgetary constraints, government regulations, and other factors into consideration when
designing these systems. A Water Resource Engineer may then oversee the construction
and implementation of these systems to ensure that they are properly assembled. After
completion, they may manage the maintenance of these systems.

2. OVERALL AND UNIT WISE COURSE OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES:

Course objectives:
1. To equip the students with capabilities required for identifying, formulating and
management of water resource related issues/problems
2. To impart training to the students to prepare them for conducting high value research
on water resources and other related issues and also to pursue lifelong learning
3. To introduce the students to the water related problem at international, national and
regional level so that they get exposure to the burning issues.
4. To impart training to the students to gain capabilities for conducting joint
collaborating works.
