SI Units

The document discusses the International System of Units (SI), which was adopted worldwide to standardize measurement. It consists of seven base units for measuring length, mass, time, electric current, temperature, luminous intensity, and amount of substance. All other units are derived from combinations of these base units. Prefixes are also standardized to denote multiples of units, making the SI system easy to use across science and technology.
